CFIUS Advisory Ankura was retained by a large investment management firm to conduct anal-ysis and assessment of the outcome of pending CFIUS transaction reviews. Prior to joining Ankura, our professionals worked as executive in-house coun-sel, outside counsel, and cybersecurity advisors to telecommunications and technology companies undergoing some of the most complex and sensitive CFIUS transaction reviews in recent history. We developed a CFIUS review strategy, negotiated with government agencies, and implemented mitigation measures that enabled the success of those transactions.

Overseas Joint Venture Compliance Assessment Our professionals conducted a collaborative assessment of the compliance posture of an overseas joint venture for a global aerospace defense compa-ny. Following identification of a potential compliance issue, we worked with personnel from the joint venture partners to contain and correct the compli-ance issue, review and enhance joint venture compliance procedures, and implement governance and oversight changes at both the joint venture and the parent organization to mitigate compliance risk.

Supply Chain Compliance Review Our professionals conducted a supply chain compliance performance review for a global aerospace defense company. We leveraged data in enterprise systems, transaction and logistics records, publicly available information, and direct engagement with supplier personnel to identify and contain historical and ongoing issues. We worked with the enterprise procurement organiza-tion to implement process- and system-based compliance enhancements to substantially reduce future compliance risk.
