We had many highlights at the end of 2017, you will find articles about the ‘entry into Jerusalem’ reenactment that took place on the streets of Jerusalem last month, as well as the Balfour 100 Celebration at the Royal Albert Hall in November.

START THE NEW YEAR

WITH JESUSA letter came into Revelation from a viewer stating that Christianity was a failed religion in Britain. To explain why they believed that, the viewer talked about the decline of the Church in Britain, the lack of influence Christians have on political and moral life, and the growth of other religions.

Whilst I understand the pessimism that some feel towards Christianity in the UK and throughout Western Europe, I know that God is still on the throne and He hasn’t abandoned the British Isles

I recently returned from evangelist Reinhard Bonnke’s Farewell Africa Gospel Crusade in Lagos, Nigeria. The Christian Faith certainly excites the Nigerians. There were never less than half a million at the Crusade meetings and a further half a million watching on the internet around the world. Our group from the UK who attended the Crusade - about 25 of us - were mainly young evangelists. I was definitely the ‘oldie’ in the group. When I saw their eagerness to preach the gospel, lay hands on the sick, pray for anyone and everyone, they thrilled my heart. They were radical and on fire for God. If God is raising up such young evangelists the gospel will be preached fearlessly and faithfully in our nation.

Over Christmas we played on Revelation TV a video of the work of the Message Trust and their activity in secondary schools across Manchester and beyond. They don’t compromise the Word of God, and are seeing young people cry out to know about Jesus. They are still able to go into Manchester schools, share in lessons and assemblies, and preach at special meetings of young people. It was thrilling in the video to hear of the 100’s of young people responding to Jesus Christ. Most definitely God is not finished with reaching the young people of Britain.

The Word is still going out in Churches up and down the land. Every day we are hearing of Churches that are growing, Christian radio and TV stations that are proclaiming the Word, and people turning to Jesus.

Proclaiming the gospel is two-fold. God does the calling. People do the wooing and the praying. An exciting year lies ahead in 2018. We need to be ready to be good foot soldiers of the Lord Jesus. That’s why we are calling all Revelation TV viewers to a sustained week for praying and fasting for our nation from January 7th to 14th.

The RTV Prayer Line invites you to a season of praying and fasting from 7th January - 14th January 2018. During the 7 days, there will be ongoing chain prayers and fasting, which you can choose an hour to yourself or share an hour daily in praying and fasting for the following:

1) Unity of the Body of Christ (One New Man) including Jews and Christians globally through this time of trial and persecution. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).

2) Great Britain – for our nation to repent, return to its first love and for righteousness to prevail. (2 Chronicles 7:14, Revelations 2:4-5, Proverbs 14:34).

3) Israel - peace, salvation of the unsaved and abundant blessings for the

inhabitants of the nation. (Psalms 122:6, Genesis 12:3).4) Europe - for God to reign in the affairs of the nations where Revelation TV is located and for the doors of the gospel to stay open. (Daniel 4:17, Acts 17:26).

5) Each other including families, friends, neighbours, our local communities and for ourselves. (1 Timothy 2:1-4, 1 Thessalonians 5:25, Ephesians 6:19)

We hope that you will join us for this time of drawing near to the Lord. We look forward to hearing the testimonies that will come from this special time.

BALFOUR CELEBRATION

The 140 members of Revelation TV’s tour of Israel joined with crowds numbering into the thousands, on the streets of Jerusalem. We watched the reenactment of the entry into Jerusalem by Lord Allenby, when the surrender of Jerusalem was received from the Turks and the Ottoman empire.

The current Lord Allenby was one of the dignitaries that was present. He stood on St David’s Citadel entrance and read out the same words that Lord Allenby had read out in 1917 when he took possession of the City. Lord Allenby was so concerned to set the right tone, that he refused to ride into Jerusalem on his horse. Instead he dismounted and walked in humbly to

indicate his servanthood and the servant leadership that he wanted to show towards all those who were resident in Jerusalem at that time and those who were captives, as well as those who were entering into the city for the first time.

The surrender of the city came soon after Lord Balfour had made his declaration concerning the British Government’s view on the establishment of the state in Israel. It’s true to say that the surrender of the city was the significant step towards the eventual establishment of the state of Israel in 1948. We were delighted to witness such a heartwarming reenactment and get a sense of what the real event may have felt.

THE ENTRY INTO JERUSALEM

A hundred years ago, Great Britain was considered the foremost nation of the world with the largest empire the world had ever seen. When Great Britain spoke, the nations of the world took notice! So when the Foreign Secretary of the day made a pronouncement in November 1917 that the British Government viewed with favour the Jewish people returning home to Palestine and having a homeland of their own and establishing a State of Israel there, the world took notice.Thousands gathered at the Royal Albert Hall,

in November 2017, including many Revelation TV viewers, for a night of celebration of Lord Arthur Balfour’s statement and all that had been achieved since then.

At the time what Lord Balfour stated seemed only words, but when four weeks after the announcement, General Allenby led British and allied forces into Jerusalem and received the surrender of the city, the words became a reality.

Holocaust Memorial Day 27th January

The Liberation of Auschwitz on the 27th January marks International Holocaust Memorial Day. On this day we are all reminded of the depth of evil and depravity that humanity is capable of committing.

This month Revelation TV will broadcast programmes with Holocaust survivors; enabling them to give their personal accounts of what happened; in order to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive for future generations.

For the sake of God’s chosen people let us not be silent or ignorant, but join us in remembering the Holocaust…. lest we forget. See our schedule for more information.
