OFFICE OF CEO

THE PAST 6 MONTHS HAVE BEEN VERY DIFFICULT FOR THE INSTITUTION AS WE HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A CEO. IT IS ALWAYS CHALLENGING TO HOLD TWO JOBS WHICH MUS T BE DONE CONCURRENTLY .THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BEING A CEO IS MUCH GREATER ONLY WHEN YOU ARE WEARING THE SHOES BUT FROM A DISTANCE IT DOES NOT SHOW ITSELF AS SUCH. HOWEVER IT HAS BEEN A GREAT OPPORTUNI-TY FOR ME TO LEARN ABOUT LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT . ONE VERY IM-PORTANT THING IS TO HAVE A TEAM THAT ONE CAN WORK WITH, A TEAM THAT SHARES THE SAME VISION AND THE SAME PASSION AS THE LEADERS OF THE INSTI-TUTION / ORGANISATION . I BELIEVE THAT FOR ORGANISATION /INSTITUTIONS AS OLD AS THIS ONE, BUSINESS SHOULD BE AS UNUSUAL IN ORDER TO BRING ABOUT PROGRESS AND POSITIVE CHANGE. I WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME THE COMMUNITY SERVICE DOCTORS THAT JOINED US THIS YEAR DR ROOPAN ,DR PRAHLADH ,DR MAZIBUKO AND DR SHAZI, I WISH THEM A FRUITFUL YEAR AND HOPE THAT THEY WILL LEARN A LOT THIS YEAR. A VERY WARM WELCOME TO OUR NEW NURSING SER-VICES MANAGER MRS B DLOMO . WELCOME ON BOARD DINANGWE YOU ARE AN AS-SET TO THIS INSTITUTION AND A PILLAR TO THE MANAGEMENT TEAM. I THANK YOU THAT YOU CHOSE US. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO WELCOME MS.MAZIBUKO OUR ORAL HYGIENIST THIS IS A VERY RARE SKILL IN OUR AREA . WE HOPE YOU SHALL BE WITH US AS WE SERVE OUR COMMUNITY.

LASTLY ,BUT NOT THE LEAST , WELCOME BACK HOME MS BUSI ZULU, THE NEW HR MANAGER. OUR HEARTS ARE EXPECTANT MAGEBA, THAT YOU WILL CARRY THE VI-SION FORWARD WITH US, TO EMBETTER OUR STANDARDS WITH BOTH HAPPY EM-PLOYEES & HAPPY CUSTOMERS . IT WOULD BE A GREVIOUS MISTAKE NOT TO THANK M.R P.P THINGA, WHO HAS BEEN THE ACTING HR MANAGER. YOU DID A SPLENDED JOB, MAY GOD PROSPER YOU. WE REJOICE THAT AT LAST THE AUTOCLAVE MA-CHINES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. WE WANT TO THANK NGWELEZANE HOSPITAL FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE DURING OUR TIME OF NEED. MAY THE GOOD LORD RICHLY BLES YOU.

CONGRATULATION TO IPC CO-ORDINATOR N.C MBATHA FOR THE POST OF M&E. YOU DESERVE IT SISI AND I HAVE THE CONFIDENCE THAT YOU WILL STEER THIS SHIP EVEN THROUGH STORMS .

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN SUPPORTIVE . THOSE WHO HAVE NOT CAUGHT THE VISSION, I PRAY THAT GOD MAY OPEN YOUR EYES OF UN-DERSTANDING AND WE CAN ALL WORK TOGETHER WITH ONE HEART AND ONE GOAL: TO RENDER EXELLENT HIGH QUALITY SERVICE. (DR BG CELE: ACTING CEO)

On the April 2010 His majesty the king of the Zulu's Goodwill Zwelithini announced that every male should be circumcised. A view which was measured By the MEC minister of Health Dr Dlomo. Since than Nkonjeni hospital has willingly obliged & commenced. The circumcision campaign at Ulundi A-clinic. The object of the cam-paign has been to circumcised about hun-dred patients each month. The current team consist of Professional Nurse LS Bu-thelezi ( the co-ordinator of the campaign) Professional Nurse H.P Mbatha , DR S Ntombela and DR S Roopan and New member of MMC Professional Nurse P.V Buthelezi.

The benefit of being circumcised is a drastic Drop in transmission of (HIV/AIDS) by 60%. A circumcision by no means pre-vents HIV and the use of condoms is still recommended

The procedure is a simple out patient pro-cedure which involves first a prescreening in which the patient does voluntary can-celling and testing to learn their HIV sta-tus . Patients who test positive are de-layed until their CD4 counts rich the maxi-mum required. This is used as an oppor-tunity to commence patients on ARV’s and to make patient aware of their sta-tus. If a patients found to be HIV negative the procedure is done .

The medical procedure involved the ad-ministration of a local black then removal of foreskin and suturing In a sterile Man-ner. After which procedure Is done & the patients is cancelled about wound cure. Since the beginning of the campaign the total number which has been done is 1304 and of which only no one experience com-plication. A rate of only which is low The volume done.
