I still remember my very first boss as an engineer, Mr. Jim Kotala. Mr. Kotala was an engineer and an ex-military men, and he was also 74 years old! My employer at the time, Westinghouse, in Asheville, NC had reach out to him to lead a project that was falling behind schedule and way over budget. Jim was very tough and I loved it. He came in and demanded excellence and I was thriving like a little kid. I went into overdrive and although I was only 21 years old and right out of college, I thrived in that environment of being nothing but the best. He led us for over 1 year and I will never forget one of the biggest lessons he taught me.

One late afternoon, I stayed working as usual in my desk past 6:00 pm. Mr. Kotala was leaving the plant and he saw the light on in my desk and stopped by. He looked at me and said “Jorge, you have to have fun while you are doing this sh$%”. To this day, I don’t forget that.

He was very demanding, very tough, very military like and then, out of the blue, he told me that. That made it much more impactful. So, I will like to close the year and open the new year not only sincerely thanking all our associates and their families for your performance and dedication to PACIV and our clients, but also, to never forget to have fun while doing your work. In this edition, you will see a little of us having fun. You will find the year end-celebration for each office. It is always a great time to spend some time together. You will also see some of us attending the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League as we support our local team, Cangrejeros de Santurce. We also have a PACIV-PR bonding event that we enjoyed very much. Of course, my favorite section, NEW BABIES. It really gets me when our associates celebrate a new born and we have some new members of the PACIV Family to celebrate this quarter.

As usual, we celebrate many birthdays and anniversaries, so please join us on congratulating our associates. Hopefully you will perceive a lot of joy and fun in this edition and a strong message to always have fun while you are doing you work! Have a wonderful and happy 2017!

This meeting is held every year in every office to discuss industry context,

strategic objectives and provide all of the associates with the 2016 Year in

Review as well as the 2017 Forecast, Insights and Objectives.

At this year PACIV-IRE’s Annual Meeting the new office was inaugurated and the new associates were welcomed into the PACIV family. In the meeting, the strategic objectives and the Year in Review were discussed as well as the 2017 Forecast, Insights and Objectives. More over, acknowledgments were given to the associates in recognition of their Perfect Attendance for the year. The meeting was also an opportunity for the associates to get to know each other better and have some fun together.

The PACIV-USA Annual Meeting 2016 took place at Maggiano’s Restaurant in Indianapolis, Indiana. Acknowledgments & Awards are were given to the associates in recognition of their years of service as well as Perfect Attendance for the year.

The PACIV-PR Annual Meeting 2016 took place at the Verdanza Hotel in Isla Verde Puerto Rico. Acknowledgments & Awards are were given to the associates in recognition of their 5 years of service as well as Perfect Attendance for the year.

Recently the PACIV-PR office sponsored the local baseball team “Los Cangrejeros de Santurce” and gained access to the Baseball League Season games. The associates were able to attend and enjoy the games throughout the season with their family and friends.

More over and as part of our sponsorship for the team “Los Cangrejeros de Santurce”, we were invited for a Family Baseball Day. The associates and their families were able to meet the baseball players from the team, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks, and interact with Jay Jay, the team mascot.

Recently the PACIV-PR associates gathered for a night of fun at the fourth floor of PACIV’s building. On the warm October night at the rooftop, the associates enjoyed music, finger foods and drinks. There was also a game of dominoes and some of the associates sat down and played in teams. At the end of the get-together there was a raffle of gift cards. The associates relaxed with their co-workers and enjoyed the fun night.
