Using FlashDrop
Get parameters into the FlashDrop toolUpload a parameter set using the wandUse the FlashDrop Keypad to generate a parameter set on the tool
The FlashDrop keypad does NOT work on a drive
Use DrivePM to edit, name and manipulate parameters on the tool
The tool can hold 20 parameter sets at onceEdit and manipulate the parameters
Using the Dedicated keypadUsing DrivePM PC toolSome parameters can be hidden so that the end user does not get confused
Use the Wand to download the parameters into the drive, whilst the drive is un-powered in the box

EMC filter summary, to EN61800-3
Build-in RFI filter – easier installation to 2nd Env:
1st Environment RESTRICTED is possible on request
NOT Class A or Class B (EN55011)Since these tests do not require a drive to be connected to a motor, compliance can be of little use, so ABB comply with EN61800-3, which does require motor connection.

Start - Up Assistant
Start - Up assistant guides the user through all essential settings to be done without going directly into the parameter list.
The user answers questions given by the drive, which then sets the corresponding parameter.
Assisted topics : motor parameters, application macro, I/O, PID setting and drive optimisation, etc..
The Start - Up assistant is activated from the Assistant menu, or automatically at first power up.

Maintenance Assistant
Maintenance criteria can be set to signal the need for preventive maintenance.
Relay Output can be used to signal the ‘need’for maintenance, via group 29
Selectable maintenance criteria:Cooling fan run time (kh)Motor rotations (Mrev = Mega rotations)Running hours (kh)Consumed (MWh)

Diagnostic Assistant
Is activated when a fault occurs.
Gives suggestions to fix the system based on experience and knowledge of the most common reasons.
E.g.Trip : DC Link overvoltageDC voltage rises when a motor is decelerated : Assistant suggests: use brake resistors or increase deceleration ramp time.
Monitors : DC - bus voltage, speed, currentThese values are stored with each trip, to aid diagnosis

Miss-wiring protection
Miss-wiring protection for motor connectionIf the input power cables are connected to the motor connection, output wiring fault is displayed when the power is switched on.
Voltage or phases are not correctIf a phase of the input power is not connected, the drive will continue operation with decreased power and according to parameter 30.16 settings a SUPPLY PHASE LOST -FAULT, -LIMIT+ALARM or -ALARM will be displayedIf the voltage drops too low or rises too high unit will trip and alarm will be displayed if parameter 16.10 is activated
Internal 24V supply is short circuit protectedLED When the LED is lit and steady When the LED is flashingRed Drive in a fault state.
To reset the fault, press RESET from the control panel or switch off the drive power.
Drive in a fault state. To reset the fault, switch off the drive power.
Green Power supply on the board OK. Drive in an alarm state.
