My butterfly Decorate the butterfly below, with words and colours to represent the conditions that will help you develop into the teacher butterfly you would like to become….
I remembered one morning when I discovered a cocoon in the bark of a tree, just as the butterfly was making a hole in its case and preparing to come out. I waited a while, but it was too long appearing and I was impatient. I bent over it and breathed on it to warm it. I warmed it as quickly as I could and the miracle began to happen before my eyes, faster than life. The case opened, the butterly started slowly crawling out….
Allegato 1
Common European Principles for Teacher Competences and Qualifications
• a well-qualified profession: high quality education systems require that all teachers are graduates from higher education institutions
• a profession placed within the context of lifelong learning: teachers should be supported in order to continue their professional development throughout their careers
• a mobile profession: mobility should be a central component of initial and continuing teacher education programmes
• a profession based on partnerships: institutions providing teacher education should organize their work collaboratively in partnership with schools, local work environments, work-based training providers and other stakeholders.
Key competences
• Work with others: they work in a profession which should be based on the values of social inclusion and nurturing the potential of every learner. They need to have knowledge of human growth and development and demonstrate self-confidence when engaging with others.
• Work with knowledge, technology and information: they need to be able to work with a variety of types of knowledge. Their education and professional development should equip them to access, analyse, validate, reflect on and transmit knowledge, making effective use of technology where this is appropriate.
• Work with and in society: they contribute to preparing learners to be globally responsible in their role as EU citizens. Teachers should be able to promote mobility and co-operation in Europe, and encourage intercultural respect and understanding.
INSEGNANTE CLIL

Conditions for Effective Learning from TALIS
OECD Teaching and Learning International Survey TALIS 2009 ‘Creating Effective Teaching and Learning Environments: First Results from TALIS’ http://download.ei-ie.org/Docs/WebDepot/OECD%20TALIS%20Report_EI%20Analysis.pdf
Teachers’ self-efficacy (the success of teachers in addressing educational challenges)
Classroom disciplinary climate (safe, productive, orderly classrooms that are supportive to learning).
TWO VARIABLES Are they indeed the most objective criteria for
defining/determining an ‘effective learning environment?
the curriculum
physical conditions (good/poor quality facilities)
material resources available at schools
working time and conditions for teachers (including pay, social security and other benefits)
students’ motivation
marking and grading systems
overall school culture

Competenza Strategia
dominio (personale, pubblico,
educativo e occupazionale)
Classificato come “low or
higher order”: dal copiare al
leggere ad alta voce,
all’analizzare, sintetizzare,
dedurre, immaginare e
scrivere in modo creativo,
fare una presentazione, ecc.
Task based learning TBL Task based leaching TBT
Pre Task Raise consciousness
Introduction to subject and task Thorough introduction to topic by
teacher use of pictures, posters and demonstrations
Task Cycle Working with and using the target language: activities like
pair work, group work, exercises like information gap Gradual increase in the importance of Planning, Report,
Presentation
Post Task Selecting, identifying and classifying
common words and phrases. Practice of language and phrases in classroom.
Building personal dictionaries
Domanda: Dai una tua definizione di task.
THE ADVANTAGES OF TBL
• Unlike a PPP approach, the students are free of language control. In all three stages they must use all their language resources rather than just practising one pre-selected item.
• A natural context is developed from the students' experiences with the language that is personalised and relevant to them.
• The students will have a much more varied exposure to language with TBL. They will be exposed to a whole range of lexical phrases, collocations and patterns as well as language forms.
• The language explored arises from the students' needs. This need dictates what will be covered in the lesson rather than a decision made by the teacher or the coursebook.
• It is a strong communicative approach where students spend a lot of time communicating. PPP lessons seem very teacher-centred by comparison. Just watch how much time the students spend communicating during a task-based lesson.
• It is enjoyable and motivating.
soggetto a progettazione e continua revisione in base all’esperienza e ai bisogni
TEACHING STYLE
