Internet-related Servers that are located in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) are also protected by the firewall. The firewall observes each packet that passes and applies rules for the actions to be taken. If the packet is considered “undesirable”, it is destroyed. The iNODE firewall can act as a packet filter or as a content inspector.

The iNODE Firewall option provides the necessary protection for a company. The Firewall is located between the private network (LAN/Intranet) and the public network.


INODE configured at each end is in stand-by mode. The connections between the two ends are activated in the case of main connection failure. iNODE activates the iVPN circuit via the Internet and all LAN traffic is routed through this connection.

In some cases businesses need to increase the availability of leased line due to the critical operation of applications that are accessed via a leased line. iNODE provides circuit backup for either leased line solutions or Internet connections.
