ABOUT US

Rollplast Company was established in the year of 2000 and initially its main object of activity was manufacturing and sales of outer rolling and interior blinds. For the period of 14 years, Rollplast has successfully become one of the leading manufacturers of doors, windows and shutters in Europe. The company has two production facilities.with total area of 15 000 sq m. The building process started in 2008, and Rollplast was awarded an Investor class A certifi cate for the planned investment amounting to 72 000 000 leva, as well as Investor of the 2009 Year Award in the fi eld of manufacturing.

The facility consists of the following production plants:

Rollplast`s team main goal is manufacturing of a wide range of quality products in order to meet the requirements of each customer. We are striving to provide excellent service – from the competent advise to the excellent installing and after sales service. Windows can form the facade of every house like no other construction element. Precisely they create the style of a building on the fi rst place. The important elements are size, proportions, shapes and colors. Except in standard right-angled forms, windows can be produced in almost unlimited variety of shapes. 01WINDOWS

1. FOR BETTER HEAT INSULATIONWindows should be an object of special attention

when considering energy effi ciency and heat insula-tion of buildings, since they transmit up to 40% of the heat loss.

Since 2014, the European standards in force require the transmittance coeffi cient of the window to be less than 1.4 W/m2K. Given that, Rollplast off ers diff erent products that reach indexes from 0.8 W/m2K (Rollplast prestige) to 1.4 W/m2K (Rollplast standard).

Another very important element is glazing, which occupies 80% of the window area – for better heat insulation, we off er triple glazing plus high selective spacer. For more information, see the table below and pages 4-15.

2. FOR BETTER SOUND INSULATIONStressful life and car traffi c in big cities make us

to pay more attention to one serious factor – noise, on which our daily comfort and health depends.

One of the factors for calm and quiet living environment is good sound insulation of the facade, which largely depends on the choice of glazing. Rollplast off ers a range of diff erent combinations of glass, as the standard glass of 24 mm reaches 31 dB. Good choice to avoid the unbearable noise is "Rollplast guard" windows with glazing that refl ects 34 to 41dB.Very important to increase the sound insulation are the following elements: triple rubber seal atthe frame, selection of an appropriate combination of glass, good sealing with mounting foam and subsequent fi nishing works. 3. FOR BETTER SUN PROTECTIONSun protection of a premise could be achieved

by several diff erent products – exterior blinds, exterior shutters, interior blinds and glazing with a high-energy coverage.

WHY CHANGING WINDOWS?Exterior roller shutters – effi cient solution of

the problem with the sun rays. Rollplast off ers a wide range of products and colors for every taste and style. For more information – see pages 42-45.

Shutters – protect windows from atmospheric infl uences and at the same time give the facade individual style. For more information – see page 46.

Internal blinds – internal blinds are good solution for sun protection, which in turn can be combined with the design and vision of your home. For more information – see pages 47-54.

Glazing – glazing with a high – energy glass has the best indicators of sun protection, suitable both for southern and western exposure.

4. FOR BETTER SECURITYStatistics shows that most frequently, attempts

for burglaries are done through the windows. Rollplast off ers products with basic level of security WK1, with minimum 2 or 3 security points and HOPPE Secustik handle.

For higher level of security, we recommend security casing with WK2 level of security, Hoppe Secustik handle and at least one glass from the glazing to be laminated glass 4.4.2.

Additional elements to increase the level of security are external blinds and shutters.

5. INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR IDEASLast but not least, many people replace their win-

dows for reasons solely related to architecture and design. They have special requirements for shape, color, decorations etc. We can meet these requirements with a wide range of products.

for north and east exposures, because of the specifics of the glass unit it is made of. It is not suitable for southern exposure, if no additional sun protection, since in summer, the sun coming through the glass, can significantly heat up the building.

Heat insulation Coating – PREMIUMThe measurements show that the biggest part of the heat losses

from the windows with double glazing (almost 2/3) are due to the Heat radiation. Other 1/3 of the heat loss is separated between Heat conduction and Convection. Soft-coated Low emissive glass is constructed so that it let light and short waves of infrared energy pass, reflecting infrared light back to to the premise. This way the premise is heated and heat loss is lessened.

○ THE HEAT ISOLATION SOLUTIONThis product incorporates the advantages of Energy Save window

but owing to the additional coverage of the outer glass, it reduces the penetration of solar heat in the house. Its effect results in pleasant indoor atmosphere as well as in reducing the air- conditioning costs during the summer period. This window is suitable for southern and western exposure, where there is strong sunlight and it prevents heating up of the building. Rollplast Company offers five types of high energy windows – neutral, green, blue, gray and bronze. The building

facade changes its outer appearance through the colored energy efficient glasses, while the inner appearance of the premise remains unchanged.

High selective glass Clima Guard Solar is float glass with very thin transparent coating. Owing that, the glass provides high light transmittance (66%), excellent thermal isolation and protection against sun heat. The measurements show that standard glazing with two white float glasses passes around 80% of the solar energy and glazing with Clima Guard Solar passes between 25 and 42% of the solar energy.

GLASS UNITS

Glazing is a construction consisting of one or more glasses where there is air space between them, formed by different sizes of spacers and hermetically closed.

A glazing must have two degrees of compaction in order to have better technical parameters. Double glazing consists of a spacer frame, filled with adsorbent (molecular sieve), on which butyl is laid both sides, used as a barrier against water vapor passing (first degree of compaction). The second barrier is the outer sealing of the space between the glasses and the spacer with polysulfide.

Spacer, which is mostly made of aluminum, is used to divide a certain space of the glass, and the moisture together with the air, sealed inside in the process of manufacturing is absorbed by the absorbent it is filled with.

If glazing is properly implemented, no water could penetrate outside as well as no condensation occurs between the glasses.

The glazing constitutes around 80% of the whole window and thus it mostly affects its insulation characteristics – thermal insulation U (W/m2K), sound insulation R (dB), unscreen or solar factor g (%), light transmittance (%).

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE GLASS UNIT: ○ Heat transfer coefficient (Ug) – the amount of

heat in watts which is transferred per unit through 1sq. m of glass per degree Kelvin difference from internal and external temperature (Ug=W/m2K). This is the most important feature of a glazing. Small value of Ug coefficient means less loss of heat and less expenses of heating during the winter.

○ Noise insulation (Rw) – Rw Index measures

noise insulation of the glass unit. The higher the value of the index is, the better the noise insulation.

○ UV (%) – harmful ultra-violet rays passing through, leading to fading of colors and causing skin cancer.

○ Solar factor (%) – sum of all direct passed energy and part of it that was absorbed from glass which is emitting from window to the inner space, I. e., the whole quantity of energy that passes through glass unit. The more is the direct reflectance of solar energy from the glass, the lower is the solar factor and less are the expenses for air-conditioning in summer months.

○ Light-transmission (%) – visible light that passing through glass. The less the value in %, the darker is the premise

○ Reflection (%) – the amount of the reflected light by glass package. The bigger the % of the reflection of the glass, the greater is its reflexivity.

HIGH SELECTIVE SPACERHigh Selective Spacer

High selective spacer or „warm edging” for doube glazed windows is used when instead of commonly used aluminium spacer, one with improved thermal characteristics is used. Rollplast High Selective Spacer is made of PVC or stainless steel, since these materials have lesser thermal conductivity. Coeficient of thermal conductivity of double glazed windows with high spacer could be lessened with around 7%, while reducing the risk of formation of condensation on the edges of the glass.

By using spacers, the risk of formation of condensation and mold on the inner side of the windows is reduced.

NOISE REDUCTIONNoise insulation is very important and still

more recent characteristics of glass and glazing as materials in modern building, along with insulating characteristics of the glazing and protection against burglary. Sound insulation of glazing is an indicator of the degree of absorption of the sound waves. The acoustic characteristics of a window is measured by the sound insulation value Rw in dB (decibel logarithmic scale). It is important to know the percentages of noise reduction at certain levels of sound insulation in dB (logarithmic decibel scale):

○ 3 dB – hardly discernible noise○ 10 dB – noise is reduced by 50%○ 20 dB - noise is reduced by 75%○ 30 dB - noise is reduced by 88%○ 40 dB - noise is reduced by 94%

Good sound insulation is achieved by: ○ Glass structure – combination of glasses with

different thickness (for example 4+5mm) gives better absorption of resonance vibrations

○ Width of gas space – bigger distance between glasses, better noise reduction will achieve. In spite of that, distances between glasses have definite maximum and it’s exceeding will decrease thermal isolation characteristics of the insulating glass unit

○ Usage of special kinds of foiling (such as laminated glasses are made of) improves the sound insulation.

○ Gas filling – filled with gas (argon, krypton or mixture of gasses), glazing have better sound- and thermal insulation

EURO MOUNTING Modern construction and legal provisions set high requirements for proper sealing during installation

of windows and doors, and heat insulation of the individual components of buildings. Joints around window areas are critical in terms of loss of energy, moisture and noise. Condensation and mold may occur around the window due to penetration of moisture through inadequately sealed joints or due to a combination of high relative humidity and low temperatures inside the walls.

HOW TO BOLSTER ACCORDING TO EUROPEAN STANDARDS?The solution is usage of WINTeQ system for sealing windows. The system includes internal and external

insulation foiling, pre-compressed sealing tape, mounting foam, and sealadhesive.

THE SYSTEM PROVIDES:– excellent thermal and acoustic insulation,– compact and isolated joint,– Diffusion of water vapor, not allowing them to condense,– Prevent mold,– Reduction of energy loss,– Resistance to atmospheric conditions and heavy rain.

Condensation of water vapor is prevented at three levels:

○ Inside –indoor climate is separated from the outdoor climate, maintaining the temperature at the wall above the critical value for formation of mold (13. ^ at 50% humidity) and a vapor impermeable layer is provided, which prevents the air with high relative humidity inside the room to reach the point of formation of condensation.

Rollplast Company regularly produces entra-nce doors with Winkhaus hardware, for better protection and high level of security of the house. The hardware includes two security and two regular lock points, hinges (Stublina), bearing the load of the wing in the range of 60 to 100 kg and sunken lock with central locking. Greater security optional and could be achieved by:

○ Drive rod placing with automatic blocking of the hooks, with the help of a special adverse particle;

USEFUL TIPS:• since there is a risk of penetration of moisture

while repairing next to the door, the wooden interior doors shall be installed after completion of the repairment, and for this purpose, a masonry opening at least 20 mm wider than the width of the selected door size shall be ensured;

• in case of subsequent repairments, keep the door in a supine position in a dry place.

Pole doorframe for ECONOMY doors:Used when masonry is narrower than 8 cm and/ or there is no edge, i.e. the wall is straight. It is 80 mm. This type doorframe does not cover the entire wall and the sills must be glued separately, and are not part of the set, as it is with the adjustable doorframes. It must be considered that mounting of this type of doorframe requires absolutely straight walls, since the sills do not hide the bumps, and turning and painting of the uncovered by the doorframe wall is often required. Available colors: red walnut, black oak and oak snow.
