Coca Cola

The innovation I have chosen is Coca Cola. Coca Cola was invented in may of 1886 by a man named John Stith Pemberton. He invented coca cola in hopes of using it instead of medicines like morphine. During war Pemberton received a life-threatening injury and became addicted to morphine. John wanted something that would not only relief his pain but help him fight his addiction.

Problems with Coca Cola

• One problem Coca Cola faced when it was invented was that it had alcohol in it. Pemberton was forced to remove the alcohol from the formula due to prohibition laws. After he removed the alcohol from the formula he called the drink a a temperance drink and advertised it as good alternative to alcohol. Another problem with Coca Cola was that it had cocaine in it, although this wasn’t a huge problem because cocaine wasn’t illegal at the time.

Solution to the problems.

A solution they made to coca cola is that they took the cocaine out. This was a good decision by the coke company because people were getting addicted to a drink that wasn’t healthy for you. They made diet coke in 1982 and solved the problem of the drink being so unhealthy. A sugar free version came out and that made it healthier.

How Coca Cola going to be in 25 yearsIn 25 years, I predict that Coca Cola will have a product where you can Buy a bottle of Coke and there will be different buttons or tabs where you can put a new flavor in it. I imagine there to be line of tabs through the middle of the bottle. In each tab there will be a little but of very flavored powder. When you press on the tab it goes into the drink and makes it that flavor.
