• Architecture ready for service innovation• SCP for legacy services (PPS, LateCallForwarding…)• SB pour advanced services• SB interconnected to any Core Network (NGN, VoLTE, VoIP) and relevant components

(HLR, HSS, MRF…)• IM-SSF & rIM-SSF used for interconnecting appropriately the advanced services to NGN or

VoLTE or VoIP

BOUYGUES TELECOMSERVICE INNOVATION

• Idea does not come only from marketing Exchange• Innovation comes also from partners • Produce a Beta service (known by user as Beta xxx) to get

feedbacks and evaluate the success of it or not • From feedbacks determine the mandatory features

Observations

10

• List of candidates• Market analysis • Global analysis

• Feasibility Study (« Agility »)• Architecture (high level, which bricks do we use?...)• Internal vs external (via partners)• Design to Cost • Features (inc. legal obligations…)

d feat

ures

• Meeting between marketing and engineering• Exchange about any new idea• Exchange about existing services

• Beta release• Trial via limited users• Evaluation / feedbacks online via SN

BOUYGUES TELECOMSERVICE INNOVATION – CASE STUDY « B.DUO »

11

• ‘GO’ trial’ Mid-July• Simplified team put in place • Architecture – detailed spec (core network + OSS/BSS)• Development via partnership (cooperation Bouygues + Consultancy

company)• JsLEE versus SIP Servlets

• Scope trial defined by End April 2013• Few workshop marketing – Engineering• Limited team

• Release « B.Duo Trial » Mid-September • Trial internally during few weeks• Version on Android only.• Announcement via Facebook

https://fr-fr.facebook.com/BAndYou/posts/255957774533232 and newshttp://www.01net.com/editorial/581719/bouygues-telecom-teste-la-carte-sim-a-deux-numeros/

• 4 months for releasing B.Duo Beta• Number of beta users limited to max. 20K• Service free of charge• Close cooperation with users via Facebook / Interview of users

• Establish the profil of the users and their wish• 85% totally satisfied – 60% ready to pay for it

Observations

• Still some light advert

• On Android and iOS

12

• Consideration of « wish list » B.Duo from users during Beta version

• Solve users concerns and include new relevant features

• Legal Interception

• Billing

• Scalability

• Still in « Design 2 Cost » approach

•TTM

• 2-3 months for releasing B.Duo • Service charged 2€ per month• Follow Up

SERVICE INNOVATION (OTHER SERVICES)

Other services developed on SB in ‘agile’ mode – Cost2Design – TTM:

13

• VoiceMail deposite: By dialing a « 660+MSISDN », I can depose a voice message directly on the VoiceMail of

the MSISDN without any need to call him

• 2-3 months for releasing “Dépose Directe” • Cost very limited (few k€)• Totally developed internally

Observations

• Evolution to VoLTE via IM-SSFwithout changing the existing app

Page 13: Innovation in the network – Adding value to voice OpenCloud Bouygues

• Real Cost2Design (gain of more 50% on existing IN services)

• Possibility to easily develop Beta services in real TTM (2-3 months) and easy industrialization (2-3 months)

CONCLUSION

• The SB is an SDP•Development JSLEE or SIP Servlet used for the development of new “advanced services”

• Strong ecosystem of developer• Consultancy companies such as Capgemini; Startups such as Almira Labs…• Internally

• Allow Cost2Design, short TTM, easy evolution…• Easy integration in VoLTE via IM-SSF & SCIM• Possible enablers such as webRTC GW, API GW… Convergence
