Setting the Scene
• All teaching staff with laptop (3yr cycle)
• Digital projectors in every room
• All users with school/home email access
• Moodle (VLE) since 2004
• Mahara eportfolios since 2007
• 1:1 notebooks for students since 2008 (98% uptake)
• Managed site wide wireless network
• OneDrive on notebooks
• Flexible broadband filtering (100Mb)
• Led by a Headteacher willing to take risks
Setting the Scene
• Moodle is internally hosted at Perins
• Externally supported by WebAnywhere
• Full time elearning support officer
• 5 “administrators”
– Head of eLearning
– Assistant headteacher (Teaching and learning)
– eLearning support Officer
– ITServices manager
– WebAnywhere
• All staff are course creators
• Moodle is part of staff CPD and Department targets
