Innov8 Online Action Planning Organizer and Collaboration Tool Quick Guide

innov8.nctm.org provides online tools to organize and share thoughts and collaborate with a team to create an action plan while at the Innov8 conference.

Getting Started: Account Setup

Registered Innov8 conference attendees already have a user account for innov8.nctm.org! To get started, sign in with the following credentials:

Username: First and Last name with a space (example: John Doe) or email address used to register for the conference (Note: your welcome letter was sent to this email)

Password: Innov8

Once you are logged in, you may change your password by clicking on your name in the upper right corner and selecting Account Settings.

Please email webfeedback@nctm.org if you are not able to log in with your name or email address or have any issues with your account.

Using the Action Planning Organizer and Team Forums

During designated Team Time sessions and throughout the conference, teams will work to develop a comprehensive action plan for their problem of practice. innov8.nctm.org provides tools and spaces for each team to share and draft their action plan.

Teams are identified by room number and table number. If you are coming to Innov8 with a team, your room and table number assignment will be printed on your badge. Attendees coming without a team will have a room number only and will be organized into a team at the beginning of the conference.

Action Planning OrganizerEach team has an Action Planning Organizer (Google Doc) already created with prompts and guides to use to create the action plan.

To access your team Action Planning Organizer:

1. Select your room.

2. Select your room and table from the menu under “Find your Action Planning Organizer” and click “Open” to launch the Google Doc.

The document will launch in a separate window.

Team ForumsEach team also has a forum space that is populated with the same sections and prompts that are in the Action Planning Organizer document. Teams can utilize the forum functionality to post notes, share thoughts, and draft sections for the final action plan.

Innov8 Bar ReservationsSchedule a 10 minute individual or team session with Innovators at the Innov8 Bar in the Innovation Lounge on Thursday or Friday.

To reserve an Innov8 Bar session:

1. Select Thursday or Friday on the Innov8 Bar page.2. Choose your Theme/Innovator and click on a time.3. Select the “Going” button
