Q. CAN I USE A SALT PAN TO HEAT OR MAKE ADJUSTMENTS ON INNOTEC FRAMES?A. Due to the nature of the material, you should not use a salt pan. Only use a blower for heating Innotec frames (to a maximum of 120 degrees Farenheit). Gently bend the frame a little at a time while warm. Hold in place until it sets. Cold snap lens insertion is recommended.

Q. WHAT IS THE MINIMUM GROOVE DEPTH INNOTEC FRAMES WILL ACCOMMODATE?A. Innotec frames require a minimum groove depth of .5mm to .6mm

Q. WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM GROOVE WIDTH INNOTEC FRAMES WILL ACCOMMODATE?A. Innotec frames require a maximum groove width of .6mm to .75mm

Q. DOES OGI EYEWEAR HAVE PARTS AVAILABLE FOR INNOTEC FRAMES?A. Yes! Ogi Eyewear has frame fronts and temples available for most of the Innotec Eyewear line. Please contact Ogi Eyewear customer service for availability.

Q. HOW DO INNOTEC FRAMES GET THEIR COLOR?A. Either one solid base color is injected into the material or two sheets of colored material are fused together. It is then reheated to open up the pores and hand painted with a natural demi colored effect or precisely printed patterns are applied. As the material cools, the color and patterns are absorbed. The color richness and finish of the eyewear will remain vibrant and long lasting even after prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Q. HOW SHOULD CUSTOMERS CLEAN THEIR INNOTEC FRAMES?A. Soap and water is always recommended since skin oil is usually the culprit. Alcohol is okay, but absolutely no acetone.

Q. SHOULD I REMOVE THE LENSES WHEN HEATING INNOTEC FRAMES?A. If anti-reflective coated lenses are used, please shield the lenses using a microfiber cleaning cloth or remove them from the frame to prevent damage to the anti-reflective coating.

Q. MY PATIENT IS USING PROGRESSIVE LENSES. CAN INNOTEC FRAMES BE ADJUSTED FOR TILT?A. If you need to add reverse pantoscopic tilt, the end piece can be heated using blower heat on a medium/high setting. Don’t be afraid to heat the end piece for 15-30 seconds as it is the thickest part of the frame and could take a while to soften slightly. Padded pliers can then be used with a piece of tissue or a lab towel to protect the frame to add up to 10 degrees of pantoscopic tilt. Please remember to either shield or remove lenses with anti-reflective coating to prevent damage.

Q. ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON PRESCRIPTIONS FOR INNOTEC FRAMES?A. There are no restrictions.
