“Come to the edge, he said.

They said: We are afraid.

Come to the edge, he said.

They came.

He pushed them

and they flew.”

~Apollinaire

Transformation is our destiny.

In “Arise” the Inner Self portrayed has become a spiral staircase, which may allow herself and others to ascend.

“Stainless” features a silver-clad woman keeping watch as guardian of her steel city.

The Projections create fantastical creatures…

“Security is an Illusion”

What is the razor wire? A part of this Self or a reality that is behind her nowas she peers out the ancient castle window?

“Round and Round She Goes”

The Inner Self can’t determine her destination

as she peers at such maddeningly similar options…

Interpretations belong to the individual…

Who is creating the art? The undetected “Metropolitan

Muse” revealed as a ghost of an image, or the artist at work?

What is celebrated in the “Coronation” as this Inner Self

serenely contemplatesthe vista before her?

Page 10: Inner Identity Emerges

“Absinthe Spirit” reveals an Inner Self surrounded by lovely distortions, much as absinthe is likely to produce.

The Inner Self of “Carnivale”

is a magnificent and exotic being clothed in festive lights.
