FIND A DIFFERENT ANGLE
6 7
Your uniqueness reflects our way of teaching.
Benilde believes that each student is endowed by the Creator with talents and gifts, which the College nurtures in accordance with the individual’s learning style.
8 9
The College continues the mission started by St. John Baptist de La Salle and St. Benilde Romançon by making innovative education accessible to the poor and to diversely-gifted learners.
CORE8 9
10 11
In his time, St. La Salle createda community of Christian schoolsthroughout France.
But what he’s actually done is transform the structure and system of education across four centuries all over the world, a legacy for which he was proclaimed Patron Saint of Teachers.
FOUNDER10
12 13
Achievement is not about who you are nor where you came from.
In Benilde, it is about achieving extraordinary feats in your everyday tasks.
St. Benilde Romançon grew up in the plains of Thuret, France as an ordinary farm boy. He taught people of all ages and from all walks of life. But most of all he loved teaching children—a love that kept him in the classroom for 40 years. Pope Pius XI described St. Benilde’s influence saying, “Sanctity does not consist in doing extraordinary things, but in doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.”
CODE 13
14 15
Benilde’s innovation is fueled by the diversity of our students.
What our learners taught us is that traditional education is not for everyone.
Benilde traces its origin to the Career Development Program (CDP) of De La Salle University. Under the leadership of Br. Andrew Gonzalez FSC, the CDP night school for working students was opened in 1988. Over the years, Benilde has established itself at the forefront of innovative educational institutions, serving students with diverse backgrounds and talents.
EVOLUTION 1514
16 17
“It is in the DNA of Benilde to think outside the box. In the sphere of relevant and creative educational programs, our role is to write what is yet to be written.
The purpose of Benildean-Lasallian education is to build a just and humane society. We want to provide the best and most advanced education possible, one that is cutting-edge and trailblazing.”

When Benilde moved to its own campus on the other side of Taft Avenue in 1989, it meant more than College expansion. Benilde extended its reach to a greater number of non-traditional learners.
The Taft Campus houses computer laboratories equipped with the latest software and a high-speed Internet facility to support the academic requirements of Management, Information Technology, Multidisciplinary Studies, and Deaf Education students. Laboratories and studios are designed to stimulate learners to think, discover, and create.

198 199
Our School of Multidisciplinary Studies (SMS) offers Bachelor of Arts major in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs for learners drawn to politics, governance and international relations.
SMS oversees the general education subjects of Benildean students as part of the College’s goal of forming well-rounded individuals.
200 201
Diplomacy shapes how the world is connected.
In Consular and Diplomatic Affairs, our students examine the interrelations of states, cultures, languages, politics and economies to gain a comprehensive understanding of global affairs. Your multidisciplinary education in social sciences, languages, and humanities primes you to have a mindset for dialogue and to have a sensibilityfor diverging perspectives.
Our program trains students to become professionals in international relations whose career paths lead to consular and diplomatic posts, and jobs in rights-based public and civil society organizations.
AB CONSULAR AND DIPLOMATIC AFFAIRS
202 203
You are future servant-leaders.
We educate young men and women to be ambassadors of common good, human rights, justice and peace. In this increasingly borderless world, your responsibility is to think globally, act locally, and to promote solidarity among the community of nations.
204 205
Benildeans take their place in the arena of engagement.
The process of engagement is dialogue and not debate. Our students learn to dialogue with other young minds at international conventions where they tackle the intricacies of diplomacy, development and governance. Benildeans participate and consistently gain recognition in International Model United Nations (MUN) conferences held in China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Switzerland, South Korea and the United States of America.

Your stay in Benilde can be more meaningful and memorable through volunteering activities, student organizations, and cultural celebrations.
Such opportunities shape Benildeans’ understanding of themselves and the world that extends beyond the classroom. The Department of Student Life (DSL) works with the College’s various units to hone students who are deeply rooted in faith, appreciative of individual worth, nationalistic, creative, professionally competent, and socially responsible.

Social responsibility is the mark of a true Benildean-Lasallian.
Students are constantly given opportunities to lead, serve, and grow through community immersions, leadership trainings, relief drive operations, and volunteering efforts organized by the Center for Social Action (CSA).

WORK WONDERS
268 269
You dream, that’s why you create, build, do.
269
Vito Cruz station is more than a train stop.
You couldn’t tell what dreams may come.
fleeting.
People are flitting,
270 271270
It’s never
the same
cast of
characters.
271
Whoever greets you at the gates begins the story.
You have access to different beginnings and endings.
But the story is always about you.
272 273
However, there are innumerable yous...
...pursuing one quest: the next big idea.
274 275
People give you directions.
But really there are no maps.
So you find your way...
...while dancing...
...with songs in your head...
276 277276
...through celebrations...
...as other stories are told.
Sometimes you must set out on sidequests...
278 279
...or fight dragons.
279
But there is only one theme.
280 281
In a place like this, you can tell who’s on your side...
My guarding ability is directly proportional
to my cuteness.
...and who’s always got your back.
I will continue, O my God, to do all my actions for the love of You.
282 283
There are many ways to move a story along...
...as you imagine what’s going on inside other heroes’ heads.
284 285
Still, you’ll do it your own way.
What people probably think I’m doing What I’m really doing
286 287
This particular quest ends here.
287
But there will be other missions.
WORK WONDERS.
