FlexibilityEquipped with Medilink Eazix Software, the Medix DR is the ideal solution for multi-site exams as well as whole body exams. In addition to routine exams for osteoporosis diagnosis (hip, spine, forearm), Eazix provides a wide range of applications including: whole body, orthopaedics, lateral spine and paediatrics.

SimplicityEazix software simplifies everyday routines for the practitioner and enables optimal patient management with the simple click of a button.

SpeedPerform a fast hip, AP spine or lateral spine scan in as little as 15 seconds, and a whole body scan in only 3-5 minutes (depending on the patient’s height).

AccuracyThe Medix DR uses an X and Y scan to reduce distortion and magnification, making it more accurate than large fan beam technology.

ClarityBecause of the reduced magnification and distortion effects (parallax errors) inherent to wide-angle fan beam densitometry, the 2D-Fan Beam is the best technology to ensure that area, BMD and geometric measurements are always accurate.

Automatic ROI selectionThe Region Of Interest (ROI) is automati-cally selected in order to minimise operator involvement and to improve the accuracy and reproducibility of results.

Total BodyThe Total Body option provides information about total BMD and body composition, enlarging the application range of the Medix90 and opening the door for other disciplines.

PaediatricsThe pediatric option makes it possible to evaluate the BMD in children.

OrthopaedicsThe orthopedic application delivers accurate BMD measures around the prothesis, for a smart implant management.

Twin-hip Precise comparative information can be obtained for BMD measures in both hips in order to detect the lowest measurement and obtain the most complete information for diagnosis.

Combi-scan Two exams (hip and spine) can be performed in one single operation thus improving workflow and comfort for both patients and users.

Digital Vertebral AssessmentThe lateral image of the spine obtained with the Digital Vertebral Assessment (DVA) makes it possible to assess the risk of vertebral deformity or fracture, using the Genant semi-quantitative method.

Morphometric tools Automated morphometric tools enable easy and fast access to information, such as length, area and angle measurements for any part of the bone. The ‘femur density’ mode delivers a colour mapping of the femur density, and a BMD scale. These measurements yield quantitative bone information and help to better qualify the bone status.

The Medix90 was especially conceived to improve practitioner’s workflow, while exam mode is fully automated, from calibration to data processing. In addition to calculating bone densitometry on the three sites implicated in the detection of osteoporosis: hip, spine and forearm, the Medix90 includes the most relevant options for complementary exams, including Total body, Orthopaedics and Paediatrics.

Features• Portable (2.4kg) and battery powered

• Large 42.6cm x 41.5cm imaging area

• High sensitivity Cesium Iodide Scintillator - giving a lower X-ray exposure for the patient

• 125 x 125 micron pixel pitch

• High performance yet small footprint

• 6.1 mega pixels resolution

• Preview image in 3 seconds, full image in 5 seconds

• Environmentally friendly design

• Image cutout feature

The Canon CXDI-401C is a full-sized at panel detector with the basic features of the conventional models (CXDI-40 series) enhanced. It carries a high-resolution, high quality detector with a pixel pitch of 125 microns, while still maintaining a speedy display of approximately three seconds after X-ray exposure.

CANON CXDI-401C DETECTOR

Large imaging areaThe sensor array structure consists of sensors and switches that achieve a pixel pitch of 125 microns, surpassing conventional models. This enables an X-ray flat panel detector with a large effective imaging area of 42.6cm x 41.5cm.

Speedy displayThe image is displayed on screen approximately three seconds after the X-ray exposure. A shorter imaging time means shorter waiting time in front of the equipment for the patient. In the event of imaging errors, the results can be confirmed immediately and another image taken if required.

Automatic sizing featureCXDI-401C automatically sizes the X-ray exposure area, meaning there is no need to select the image size before or after exposure, simplifying the imaging workflow.

Simple imaging workflowThe CXDI-401C uses the scintillator in the flat panel detector to convert X-rays into digital data. There is no need to carry cassettes to other locations as with conventional systems. Imaging is completed in three simple steps: expose the X-ray, confirm the image on screen, and transfer the image.

Support for low dose imagingCaesium iodide (CsI) with a high scintillation efficiency is used for the scintillator. This raises the sensitivity of the scintillator and allows a lower X-ray exposure for the patient.

Digital imaging generatorsThe high frequency technology and intelligent RS232 console interface/software protocol meet and exceed the critical demands of all DICOM-based digital system technology, including Fluoroscopic Image Intensifiers, Computed Radiography (CR) or Direct Radiography (flat sensors or CCD).

Dynamic image sharpness and stabilisationSophisticated closed-loop microprocessor logic and high frequency technology and enable minimum exposure times of one micro-second. These exposure times are critical for spot films applications, cardiac and Barium swallowing studies, and paediatric examinations where rapid exposures are required to compensate for internal or external patient movement.

Image reproducibilityComputer-controlled technique parameters ensure precise and excellent image quality on a consistent basis.

The full power on a standard outletThe generators backed-up by battery or capacitor energy reserve are available up to the 50 kW model and can be connected to standard single phase outlet.

A version with converter (UPS) is available for the battery energy reserve range and makes it ideal to work in environment where shortage of power is frequent, in mobile medical vans, field hospitals and in any emergency situation.
