restaurants in the beautiful area of Cadboro Bay. In addition,

it is only a short 15 minute bus ride to the inlingua Campus.

The General English Courses are designed for learners of all levels

and have an emphasis on speaking, communication and a high level

of learner participation. The goal is to improveyour accuracy and

fluency as you move up the levels from beginner to advanced plus.

COURSE OUTLINEThe International English Language Testing System (IELTS), a

standardized proficiency exam, has become the world’s most

popular English language test for academic, employment and

immigration purposes. This course will not only allow you to

successfully pass the IELTS exam, but will also help you build

the confidence to engage in new and interesting activities, and

increase your chances of being accepted into your desired college

or university. Language exercises, practice tests, and lots of

opportunities to practice your skills will allow you to excel across

all four language skills – listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

COURSE OUTLINEThis course begins at a high level of proficiency, and is geared

towards those who need to perfect their English for professional

purposes including the ability to negotiate successfully in

English. The program has a business focus and was created

quickly and actively as possible. Materials focus on professional

communication skills, and are based on real-world companies

and issues, making the lessons both relevant and applicable.

ENGLISH FOR ACADEMICPURPOSES (EAP)

COURSE OUTLINEEAP is designed to prepare students for entering a post-

secondary institution. The primary focus is on academic

reading and writing skills. The modules include: note-taking,

sentence structure, paragraphs, research, essay format,

report format, power point presentations, referencing, test

taking, study skills and time management. Daily lessons

include grammar and vocabulary building as well as writing

and reading skills. Students will be using a variety of authentic

texts and writing samples at the appropriate level.

helps International Students gain entrance into University

or College. Our Pathway Program provides students with

sophisticated fluency, strong written English and the necessary

post-secondary skills required for academic success. Completion

of the program qualifies students to enter many of inlingua

Victoria’s partner universities or colleges by direct entry.

START DATESEvery Monday - The Pathway Program is designed to provide

each student with an individual plan for successfully completing

their English studies. When you arrive at inlingua Victoria, you

will take a placement test to determine your level of English and

how many weeks your study period will be. Upon successful

completion of inlingua EAP, you will gain direct entrance to your

choice of University and College. No external test is required as it

is a direct pathway from inlingua Victoria to a Pathway institution.
