October 2, 2010

Dear Friends,

On a lovely September evening in 2006, 60 people gathered to inaugurate Foothill AIDS Project’s newest event, the Inland Rainbow Mix. Tonight more than 200 guests join us to celebrate the fifth annual Inland Rainbow Mix. On behalf of the men, women, and children served by Foothill AIDS Project (FAP), I thank you for your support of our work and for your enthusiasm for this rapidly growing event.

This event would not be possible without the support of some very special people. I’d like to thank our extraordinarily gracious hosts, Molly & Linden Brouse, for once again opening this enchanting and historic home to us.

Thank you to our sponsors who have underwritten all of the costs of the event, enabling 100% of ticket and auction proceeds to go directly to our programs and services.

Thank you to our incredibly hard working committee who labored for many months to create a magnificent celebration for our community.

Thank you to all of the volunteers, donors and supporters who make the Inland Rainbow Mix possible.

Your support will help FAP provide critically needed HIV/AIDS and homeless prevention services to nearly 2,000 men, women and children in the coming year in a service area that extends from the San Gabriel Valley through the Inland Empire in San Bernardino and western Riverside Counties. Thank you for your support and dedication to the work of Foothill AIDS Project. Regards,

Maritza Tona Executive Director

Mission Foothill AIDS Project’s (FAP) mission is to improve the lives of those affected by or at risk for HIV/AIDS through comprehensive support services, and to help prevent HIV infection through education and outreach.

serviCes Founded in 1987, FAP is a 501(c)(3) minority-based organization that provides comprehensive and specialized services to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. In addition, FAP reaches those at risk for HIV infection, including those who are homeless, with histories of incarceration, and with issues of mental illness and substance abuse. Since 2006, FAP has also provided homeless prevention services for the general homeless population. In the past year, FAP has provided services to nearly 2,000 men, women and children. More than 75% of those we serve are from communities of color and earn less than the Federal Poverty Level.

Services include:

serviCe area FAP services an area that extends from the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles, through San Bernardino County into Western Riverside County. Throughout much of this expansive region, FAP is one of the only service options for people in need. FAP has offices in the cities of Claremont, San Bernardino, Riverside and Pomona.
