INLAND COASTALLANDSCAPES

LANDSCAPES

MOUNTAINS: It is a high elevation of land

The mount Fuji is 3,776 metres high. It is the highest mountain in Japan.

PARTS OF A MOUNTAIN

MOUNTAIN RANGE: It is a group of mountains.

You can see this mountain range is in Los Picos de Europa, in Asturias.

HILLS: These elevations are lower than

mountains.

Sierra de San Amaro. A hill which is close to Olivenza, in Badajoz.

VALLEY It is an area oflow land between mountain ranges. It normally follows the course of a river.

Valle del Jerte is a valley in the north of Cáceres.

PLAINS: They are areas of flat, low lands.

A village in the plain of Vegas Bajas, close to the Guadiana river, in Badajoz.

PLATEAUS: They are areas of flat, elevated land.

Madara plateau (Bulgaria).

RIVERS: The course of the Guadiana river:
