With just two rounds remaining of the 2015 Cadet Inkart Championship remaining, Fraser Brunton and Connor Brown were both looking for solid results. Milo Pilfold, Zach Walters and Thomas Wallace were just within reach and needed good points to stay in the hunt at the final round.

Heat 1 Maximilian Bublik held onto

the lead as the race started

in damp conditions. Mikey

Gleeson latched onto his rear

with Connor Brown picking up

a penalty for spinning Daniel

White out at turn 3. Thomas

Wallace was chasing down

the leading pair in 3rd, leaving

Connor Brown, Zach Walters

and Phillip Strauss behind him.

Brown closed the gap back

to form a 4 kart train for the

lead as Gleeson and Brown

got ahead down the Top

Straight, into the first chicane.

Wallace soon followed

through into 3rd with Walters

moving into 4th and chasing

the three ahead of him.

Gleeson was defending well.

Brown hit the front on the final

lap and held it to the line to

win ahead of Wallace,

Gleeson, Walters and Strauss.

Heat 2

Milo Pilfold nearly grabbed

the lead at the start, but

Thomas White moved back

ahead at turn 3 as Thomas

Wallace moved ahead of the

pair of them to take the lead.

Pilfold then picked up a

penalty for an ABC at the first

chicane with Pilfold quickly

catching up to Wallace and

passing him at the start of lap

3 into turn 1. Fraser Brunton

had worked his way into 3rd

and was looking to get on

terms with the leaders as

Pilfold began to pull a gap

at the front. Brunton was

onto the back of Wallace,

making Pilfold’s job of pulling away easier as White

dropped back in 4th with a

decent gap to Maximillian

Bublik and Kingsley Reid in

5th and 6th respectively.

Wallace had shaken off

Brunton and set after Pilfold

at the front with a quick lap

on lap 6 seeing him half the

gap to a little under 4 tenths.

The final lap saw Wallace on

Pilfold’s rear bumper, but Pilfold held on to cross the

line first ahead of Wallace,

Brunton, White and Bublik.

Heat 3

Fraser Brunton led the field

into turn 1 with James

Higgins moving up from 4th

into 2nd and getting onto

Brunton’s rear bumper. These two broke away very

quickly on the opening lap

with Amy Brunton and

Thomas Wallace moving into

3rd and 4th respectively,

albeit, 2.6 seconds behind. Fraser Brunton was starting to build a gap, gradually edging away from Higgins as Wallace moved into 3rd ahead of Amy Brunton. Wallace was closing in on Higgins in 2nd, but had quite a gap to try and close down as the time ran down. Thomas White was running in 5th and was catching Amy Brunton by a couple of tenths a lap, but the chequered was being readied. Brunton took the win ahead of Higgins, Wallace, Amy Brunton and White. Heat 4 Amy Brunton and Kingsley

Reid led the field away with

Finley Ahmad-Hambling and

Zach Walters in hot pursuit.

Brunton was able to easily

pull away on lap 1 as Reid

held off Ahmad-Hambling,

slowing him up. Zach Walters

picked up a penalty for

contact into turn 1 on lap 2,

changing the order with

Gleeson moving into 2nd

ahead of Milo Pilfold and

Reid. Gleeson was closing

the gap by a tenth a lap, but

Brunton had a lead of over

two seconds as Pilfold moved

into 3rd. Phillip Strauss was into

4th, but had a penalty for

swapping sides of the grid at

the start. Brunton took the win

ahead of Gleeson, Pilfold,

Strauss and Ahmad-Hambling.

Heat 5

Connor Brown held off James

Higgins at the start with Milo

Pilfold and Fraser Brunton

applying the pressure through

the first few corners. Brunton

snatched 2nd at turn 3, but

Higgins came back at him to

retake the place. This allowed

Brown to build a small lead on

lap 1 as Higgins had Brunton

and Pilfold following in his

wheel tracks. Brunton moved

into 2nd through Vale as Brown

continued to get away at the

front. Brunton was beginning

to reduce the gap at the front

as Higgins responded to the

pressure from behind and

began to get a small

advantage over Pilfold. Daniel

White was running in a

comfortable 5th place as

Brunton got onto the back of

Brown at the front. Brunton

moved into the lead at turn 1

with the move allowing

Higgins and Pilfold to close up.

Higgins was onto the back of

Brown as the ‘last lap’ board was given out with Pilfold

watching on, ready to take

advantage of any move.

Brunton took the win ahead of

Brown, Higgins, Pilfold and

White.

Heat 6

Daniel White made pole

count, leading the field on to

the Top Straight. White was

pulling away at the front as a

spinner at the final chicane

took out half the field. James

Higgins was quickest to

recover as he moved into 3rd

with Thiviyan Prabakaran

ahead of him in 2nd. Kaizer

Akhtar recovered in 4th

as Higgins chased down

Prabakaran, but had a 5

second gap to chase down

with time running out. White

was enjoying a 6 second lead

at the front, a small mistake

saw him lose some time, but

White held on to win from

Prabakaran, Higgins, Akhtar

and Amy Brunton.

Heat 7

Phillip Strauss and Zach

Walters led the field through

the opening corners with

Mikey Gleeson close behind.

Strauss and Walters

completed lap 1 just 0.122

seconds apart with a run out

of turn 3 on lap 2 seeing

Walters claim the lead into the

first chicane. Gleeson was

nearly through as well, but

Strauss held him off to hold

onto 2nd and keep with

Walters. Connor Brown took 3rd

from Gleeson on lap 3 into

turn 1 as Walters began to

build a gap. Brown was

closing in on Strauss for 2nd

with Gleeson almost joining

them as the time ticked away.

Walters was now looking

comfortable out front as

Strauss kept Brown just far

enough behind to be safe

from a move. Walters took the

win ahead of Strauss, Brown,

Gleeson and Thomas White.

C Final

Finley Ahmad-Hambling

moved into the lead at the

start, jumping Maximilian

Bublik. Ahmad-Hambling

pulled out a decent lead on

the opening lap as Kingsley

Reid gave chase to Bublik

with Kaizer Akhtar not far

behind in 4th. Bublik had got

his head down to break away

from Reid, but Ahmad-

Hambling was consistently

pulling away at the front.

Ahmad-Hambling cruised

across the line to take an easy

win and a place in the B Final.

Bublik came home in 2nd

ahead of Reid, Akhtar and

Krsna Joshi.

B Final

Connor Brown held off Phillip

Strauss at the start with these

two getting away at the start

as the rest of the field tussled

over 3rd. Daniel White was into

3rd by the end of lap 1, but

Milo Pilfold grabbed the place

from him with a lunge into turn

1 at the start of lap 2. Brown

was beginning to build a gap

at the front, leaving Strauss on

his own in 2nd as Pilfold looked

to close the gap to Strauss as

he got onto Strauss’ rear bumper with three laps

remaining. Brown continued

to pull away as the field

spread out with just Strauss

and Pilfold together on track.

Brown took the win ahead of

Strauss, Pilfold, Thomas White

and Daniel White.

A Final Fraser Brunton had done his

Championship aspirations a

world of good by claiming

pole for the A Final with his

closest challenger, Connor

Brown starting at the back

having moved up from the B

Final. Brunton got away well as

the green flag waved, leading

Thomas Wallace, Mikey

Gleeson, James Higgins and

Zach Walters. Brunton pulled

out a small lead on the

opening lap as Wallace

fended off the rest of the

pack. Gleeson was on the

defensive early, holding the

inside line into turn 1 and

forcing Higgins to go around

the outside. Higgins pulled off

the move, but Gleeson came

back at Higgins into turn 3,

slowing the pair down and

allowing Zach Walters to slip

past the pair of them with

Higgins holding onto 4th. This

gave Wallace some breathing

space for 2nd as Walters and

Higgins attempted to close

the gap back down. Out

front, Brunton was pacing

himself, gradually pulling away

from Wallace as Walters and

Higgins latched onto him

once more and began to

apply the pressure. Connor

Brown had worked his way

into 5th, leaving Gleeson to

tussle with Amy Brunton over

6th, and was chasing down the

group in front of him in the

hope to get involved in the

fight for 2nd. The circuit layout

and the evenly matched

pace of the group made it

difficult for anyone to get

ahead with Wallace placing

his kart just where he needed

to as the group continued to

lap nose-to-tail with Brown

slowly reeling them in. They

started the final lap still

together with Brunton looking

secure 2 seconds in front.

Higgins got a good run out of

Vale and toward the second

chicane, but misjudged the

move slightly, not quite

drawing alongside as Walters

turned in on his racing line. The

two connected with the pair

spinning off, allowing Brown to

slip through into 3rd as the

chequered flag waved for

Brunton, moving him one step

closer to the 2015 title.

Wallace bagged himself 2nd

with Brown taking the final

step on the podium. Higgins

crossed the line in 4th with

Gleeson coming home in 5th.

With the season approaching its end, Jake Gillett and Kameron Khan were poised to resume their fight for the top spot as Gillett stuck his kart on the front row with Khan just behind him. Khan looked like he had the upper hand only for Gillett to claw it back at the end as he followed Chodyko home once more.

Heat 1 Dan Hudes led away from

pole, pulling a small lead over

Sebastian Chodyko and

Kameron Khan. Ambrose

Witherspoon was giving

chase as Chodyko and Khan

looked to close the gap.

Witherspoon was dropping

back as Ben Graham looked

to get closer to his rear

bumper. Khan moved into 2nd

on lap 3 and got his head

down to close the 8 tenths

gap with a quick lap seeing

Khan on Hudes’ rear bumper by the end of lap 4. Chodyko

followed up to the back of

Hudes to make it a three way

fight for the lead with Khan

nearly getting a run into the

first chicane on the final lap.

Hudes held on to win as Khan

held off Chodyko for 2nd.

Graham and Witherspoon

completed the top 5.

Heat 2

George Hannay held the

lead at the start, losing out to

Brendan Sathees and

Sebastian Chodyko at turn 3.

Chodyko had grabbed the

lead by the end of lap 1,

leaving Sathees to hold off

Max Oshaughnessy with

Oshaughnessy taking 2nd into

the first chicane by lap 2.

Oshaughnessy quickly closed

the gap to Chodyko that had

accumulated, but Chodyko

responded to put a kart’s length between the two of them. Sathees was dropping back in 3rd and had Oliver Tipping behind him in 4th place with Dan Hudes stealing 4th from Tipping. Chodyko took the win from Oshaughnessy, Sathees, Hudes and Tipping. Heat 3 Ganan Prabakaran led

away from pole, but a slide

through turn 3 saw Jake

Gillett move into the lead on

the run down the Top

Straight. Gillett pulled a

healthy lead on lap 1 as

Nathan Parr moved into 2nd

ahead of Prabakaran and

Sebastian Chodyko. Oliver

Tipping and Mark Martin

were in 5th and 6th

respectively, but were losing

time to Chodyko in front of

him as Chodyko moved into

3rd and got onto the back of

Parr. An attempted move at

turn 3 with contact saw

Chodyko rightfully move

back behind before making

the move cleanly a couple

of corners later to move into

2nd. By this stage, Gillett was

into 2nd. By this stage, Gillett was 10 seconds up the road as Martin picked up a penalty for an ABC at turn 1. Gillett comfortably won ahead of Chodyko, Martin, Parr and Prabakaran. Heat 4 Max Oshaughnessy

grabbed the lead as the

green flag waved with Ben

Graham getting a great

start to be 2nd by the time

the field exited turn 1. Mark

Martin was into 3rd, 1 second

back with Kameron Khan a

further second down and

closing. Graham moved into

the lead at the end of lap 2,

through the second chicane

with Oshaughnessy coming

back at him through the first

chicane on the following

lap. Oshaughnessy couldn’t pull off the move as the

leading pair continued to

get away from Martin, who

now had Khan nipping at his

heels. Khan moved ahead

of Martin with a move that

started at the first chicane,

giving him the momentum

he needed through Vale to

finish the move at the second

chicane, earning him 3rd

place. Graham took the

honours ahead of

Oshaughnessy, Khan, Oliver

Mooij and Martin.

Heat 5

Ambrose Witherspoon leapt

off from pole, but was caught

at turn 3 by Max

Oshaughnessy and Jake

Gillett with the three of them

going side-by-side into the first

chicane. Oshaughnessy took

the lead with Gillett moving

into 2nd as Witherspoon

dropped to 3rd. Gillett then

hounded Oshaughnessy

around the circuit with his

advances finally paying off as

he moved into the lead on lap

4. Witherspoon was in a

secure 3rd as he left Oliver

Tipping behind who was in-

turn, dropping Brendan

Sathees in 5th. Oshaughnessy

stuck with Gillett at the front,

but could not find a way past

as Gillett won ahead of

Oshaughnessy, Witherspoon,

Tipping and Sathees.

Heat 6

Harry Standen led away from

pole with Oliver Mooij moving

up into 2nd ahead of Mark

Martin and Dan Hudes. Martin

moved into 2nd, but contact

was deemed to have been

used as Standen got spun

around into the second

chicane. Mooij hit the front

and got a gap from Martin

with another reasonable gap

of 1.5 seconds back to Hudes

and Jake Gillett who were

tussling for 3rd. Mooij was

continuing to pull a gap at the

front, with his lead out to over

5 seconds by the time the

chequered flag was readied.

Mooij cruised across the line to

win from Martin, Gillett, Hudes

and Nathan Parr.

Heat 7

Thomas Parmenter moved into

the lead at the start and was

followed by Nikhita Joshi and

Kameron Khan. Khan moved

into 2nd on lap 1 and was into

the lead on lap 2, passing

Parmenter into turn 3. Khan

was eager to get away as he

saw Ben Graham and Oliver

Mooij catching with Khan

being forced to defend the

inside line as early as he could.

This was backing Graham and

Mooij up with Parmenter

almost in touch with the top 3.

Graham’s attach on Khan was leaving him vulnerable to an

attack from Mooij as he

desperately looked for a way

through. Graham was able to

pull alongside Khan coming

onto the straights, but Khan

was holding the inside line

well, slowing them up and not

allowing them through. An

attempt at a pass into the final

corner, saw Graham just tag

the back of Khan’s kart, slowing down Graham and

allowing Mooij to out-drag him

to the line. Khan won from

Mooij, Graham, Parmenter

and Ambrose Witherspoon.

C Final

Thomas Parmenter led the

field out of turn 1 with Mark

Martin in close company on

his rear bumper. Martin

moved into the lead at turn 1

on lap 2, leaving Parmenter

with Harry Standen right

behind him. Martin got his

head down to pull away at

the front and remain relatively

unchallenged with Standen

moving into 2nd ahead of

Parmenter at the half way

stage. Fergus Ward was on his

own in 4th, 5 seconds behind

those in front and another 5

clear of George Hannay in 5th

behind. The chequered flag

was readied and greeted

Martin as he won and booked

a spot in the B Final. Standen

came home in 2nd ahead of

Parmenter, Ward and Hannay.

B Final

Dan Hudes got a kart length

gap by the time the field

reached the Top Straight and

was followed by Nathan Parr.

Parr was driving defensively

and backing the pack up,

allowing Hudes to easily pull

away as Brendan Sathees and

Ambrose Witherspoon looked

for a way past as well as hold

off the rest of the pack. It

ended badly as a handful of

them tripped over each other

and off the circuit at the first

chicane. This left Parr and

Sathees to fight for 2nd as they

got away from Mark Martin

and Ganan Prabakaran.

Martin was reducing the gap

to the two in front and joined

them with two laps remaining

to have a go at trying to take

2nd. Hudes took an easy win

ahead of Sathees who took

2nd through Vale. Martin

moved into 3rd by ABC’ing Parr at the second chicane

with Witherspoon and

Prabakaran following him

across the line. Martin picked

up a post-race penalty as a

result of the contact.

A Final

Max Oshaughnessy snatched

the lead at the start, passing

Jake Gillett around the outside

at turn 1. Kameron Khan

joined them by the time they

exited the first corner with the

three of them breaking away

in the early stages, leaving

Sebastian Chodyko and Ben

Graham to fight over 4th. This

was short lived however as

Chodyko and Graham soon

reeled them back in. Khan

was eager to get ahead of his

Championship rival Gillett, with

a move into turn 3 seeing him

through into 2nd and hanging

Gillett out as Chodyko and

Graham passed him onto the

Top Straight. Despite clear

track in front of him,

Oshaughnessy was unable to

get away with a run out of the

first chicane seeing Khan into

the lead by the time the pair

made their way through Vale.

It looked as though Khan

would then perform a

disappearing act and get

away, but Oshaughnessy

came back at him, regaining

the lead into turn 1 under

braking. Their jostling for

position was allowing

Chodyko, Graham and Gillett

to keep in touch and wait to

pick up the pieces should

anything go wrong. This

strategy eventually paid off as

Oshaughnessy ran on at the

second chicane, cutting

across the grass and re-

emerging at the exit, slowing

down Khan as they made

their way onto the start/finish

straight and allowing Chodyko

to pounce and pass the pair

of them to take the lead.

Gillett followed through into

2nd with Graham moving into

3rd, dropping Oshaughnessy

and Khan to 4th and 5th

respectively. From that point

on, it was a case of follow the

leader, as Chodyko held on to

win his second round in a row.

Gillett followed him across the

line to score valuable points

with Graham completing the

podium and Khan and

Oshaughnessy rounding out

the top 5.

The Junior Podium

Alexander Dorricott and William Thomas lined up on the front row with both of them wanting to beat the other to better the Title aspirations. Only one of them could come out on top and on this day it was Dorricott ahead of Thomas.

Heat 1 Sam Hampshire held off Scott

Van Breda at the start with

Kameron Khan trying to move

into 2nd into turn 1. Van Breda

held on and kept with

Hampshire as they filtered

their way through the first few

corners. Max Oshaughnessy

completed lap 1 in 4th with

William Thomas behind him

and began to pile the

pressure on Khan for 3rd as

Hampshire began to pull

away at the front. Rather

than receive pressure, Khan

decided to apply it, passing

Van Breda for 2nd through

Vale at the far end of the

circuit on lap 3 with a 1

second gap to Hampshire to

try and reduce.

Oshaughnessy was next to

latch onto Van Breda’s rear bumper as Thomas dropped

back into the clutches of

Championship rival,

Alexander Dorricott.

Hampshire was maintaining

the gap to Khan, losing a

tenth or two with the

chequered flag giving

Hampshire the win ahead

Khan, Van Breda,

Oshaughnessy and Thomas. Heat 2

A second attempt at a start

saw Silas Woolway hold the

lead as Henry Jarrett moved

into 2nd ahead of Max

Oshaughnessy. Woolway was

forced to defend early as Jarrett, Oshaughnessy, George Worledge and Josh Craft all lined up behind him with Tom Nicoll, Kameron Khan and Scot Van Breda quickly joining them. Worledge went for a move through turn 2 on lap 3, but slowed himself and Oshaughnessy down, allowing Craft through into 3rd. Oshaughnessy regained the place, but picked up a penalty for contact as Woolway continued to defend the lead and leave those behind to hold each other up. Woolway crossed the line to win by 0.235 seconds from, Jarrett, Oshaughnessy, Worledge and Nicoll. Heat 3

George Worledge and

William Thomas headed the

pack out of turn 1 as Sam

Hampshire picked up a

penalty on lap 1 for contact

at the first chicane,

dropping Josh Craft to last.

Worledge had gapped

Thomas by 6 tenths on lap 1

as Henry Jarrett, Scott Van-

Breda and Alexander

Dorricott gave chase.

Thomas began to respond

to Worledge, eating into his

lead, leaving Jarrett, Van-

Breda and Dorricott to fight

over 3rd. Worledge began to

maintain the gap to Thomas

and took the chequered

flag to win from Thomas,

Jarrett, Dorricott and Van

Breda.

Heat 4

Alexander Dorricott was

chased by Josh Craft and

Tom Nicoll out of turn 1.

These three broke away

from the rest of the pack as

Kameron Khan tried to hold

off the rest of the field. Max

Oshaughnessy tried for a

move at turn 3, but slowed

himself down along with

Khan down the Top Straight,

leading to William Thomas

getting alongside into the

chicane as too many karts

went into the corner as

Dorricott on his way to another win

George Worledge lost out.

Thomas moved into 4th ahead

of Khan as Dorricott and Craft

pulled a gap to Nicoll, leaving

him on his own in 3rd. Craft was

onto the rear of Dorricott’s kart as they began the final lap,

but Dorricott was unfazed,

holding on to the chequered

flag to win from Craft. Nicoll

came home in 3rd ahead of

Thomas and Max

Oshaughnessy.

B Final

Sam Hampshire took the lead

at the start as the green flag

dropped, with Henry Jarrett

dropping down to 2nd. Josh

Craft moved into 2nd on lap 2,

dropping Jarrett to 3rd, and

dropped a couple of kart

lengths as Craft got on terms

with Hampshire and danced

around his rear bumper,

looking for a way through.

Scott Van Breda was into 4th

and was pushing Jarrett for 3rd

as Max Oshaughnessy and

Tom Nicoll watched on

behind. Hampshire was now

driving defensively, backing

the pack up once more with

the whole field lapping

bumper-to-bumper.

Hampshire kept his lines clean

and held off Craft all the way

to the line to win by 0.220 from

Craft, Jarrett, Van Breda and

Oshaughnessy.

A Final

The two main Championship

contenders lined up on the

front row with Alexander

Dorricott heading William

Thomas with 8 points from the

heats covering the entire field,

proving just how close the

drivers all were. This order

remained unchanged as the

green flag dropped with the

pair of them quickly breaking

away from Kameron Khan,

George Worledge, Sam

Hampshire and Silas Woolway.

Worledge was all over the

back of Khan’s kart looking for

a way through on a circuit

layout that was proving to be

difficult to overtake on.

Dorricott was not keen on

hanging around and began

to build a lead over Thomas as

the pair of them enjoyed

greater pace than the

battling drivers behind them to

lead out front on their own. A

small mistake from Dorricott

saw Thomas close back up at

the first chicane and into Vale,

but Dorricott got his head

down once more to rebuild his

advantage. Time was running

out for Worledge, but a run

out of the first chicane with a

couple of laps remaining, saw

Worledge through into 3rd at

Vale. Hampshire dropped

Khan a further place into turn

1 in the dying stages to take

up 4th place. Dorricott took

the win and extended his

points lead with Thomas

crossing the line just 0.592

seconds behind in

With championship rival Ian Del-Pizzo not present, Jake Butler looked to capitalise and take the 2015 Senior Light Inkart title. Claiming pole and a lights to flag victory was a good way to do just that.

Heat 1 Jordan Bowley led the field

through the first few corners

and had a kart length’s advantage by the time the

field made their way onto the

Top Straight. Daniel Holland

was giving chase with Bradley

Youngman holding off Tom

Sibley, Jake Butler and Fergal

Ludlow. Ludlow attempted a

lunge into turn 1 on Sibley for

5th into turn 1, but ran wide

allowing Sibley to cut back

underneath and regain the

position. Bowley was streaking

away at the front as Holland

gradually pulled away from

the chasing pack. A run onto

the Top Straight saw Butler

and Sibley through passed

Youngman into 3rd and 4th.

Bowley continued to extend

his lead as Holland was

caught by Butler with Sibley

just a kart length further

behind before latching on to

make it a three kart scrap for

2nd. Butler moved into 2nd on

the final lap into turn 1 as the

chequered flag was readied.

Bowley won from Butler,

Sibley, Holland and Ludlow. Heat 2

Stephen Wackrill lost the lead

at the exit of turn 1 as Fergal

Ludlow pulled off a move

around the outside. Jake

Butler and Daniel Holland

were quick to follow him

through as Ludlow built a

second lead on the opening

lap. Butler got his head

down to close the gap to

Ludlow and was quickly on

to his rear bumper by lap 3,

leaving Holland to hold off

Jordan Bowley and Tom

Sibley. Butler hit the front on

lap 4 at the far end of the

circuit and looked as though

he may pull away given the

pace he had when

catching Ludlow, but

Ludlow held on to Butler,

following in his wheel tracks

around the circuit, setting his

fastest laps in the process.

Sibley was into 4th, ahead of

Bowley and the group of

Holland, Sibley and Bowley

were now joined by Bradley

Youngman after 5 laps.

Butler eventually pulled a

gap to win by 1.647 seconds

from Ludlow, Sibley, Bowley

and Youngman. Heat 3 Jake Butler held off Tom

Sibley at the start to lead the

pack with a small gap

developing over lap 1. Sibley

passed Butler for the lead at

the end of lap 1and looked

as though he may start to

pull away. Daniel Holland

was sitting in 3rd with Fergus

Ludlow and Jordan Bowley

following him close behind.

Sibley had the legs on Butler,

extending his lead by a

tenth or two a lap as

Holland continued to keep

Ludlow and Bowley at bay

with some very defensive

driving. Sibley took the win

by 2.488 seconds ahead of

Butler, Holland, Bowley and

Ludlow.

Final

Butler shot off into the lead

at the start as Tom Sibley got

swamped by the rest of the

pack. Sibley held onto 2nd,

but had lost touch to Butler

as a result. Butler built a lead

of 1 second on the opening

lap but with Sibley now in

clear air, he could

potentially catch back up.

Daniel Holland was running

in 5th with Bradley

Youngman on his tail with

this the closest race on

circuit as the field began to

spread out. Sibley was

pushing hard, even grazing

the tyre well on the exit of

turn 3 as he pushed to close

the gap to Butler, ultimately

losing time. Sibley resumed

his pursuit and began to

bring the gap down to Butler

at the front, but was still 1.3

seconds behind with 3 laps

remaining. The rest of the

field had now all spread out

with no one close enough to

anyone else to improve on

their position; only a mistake

would see any change of

position. Butler took the win

by 1.101 seconds from Sibley

and with it, claimed the 2015

Senior Light Championship

with a round to spare.

Ludlow completed the

podium ahead of Bowley

and Holland.

With just 9 points between the two at the top in Adam Christopher’s favour, a pole and win from his rival, Arnold Macauley, set up a championship showdown between the two at the final round in November.

Heat 1 Mark Kearon held the lead

through the opening corners

despite Chris Wilkinson and

Arnold Macauley nipping at

his heels. Macauley was

pushing to try and pass

Wilkinson with a run out of

turn 2 on lap 2 forcing

Wilkinson to go defensive into

3 and allowing Macauley to

undercut him and get the run

onto the Top Straight. Adam

Christopher nearly followed

him through, but could not

make it passed and had to

wait a lap before passing the

pair of them through turn 3 a

lap later. Kearon had built a

lead of 2.647 seconds by the

end of lap 3 and was

extending it as those behind

tussled for position.

Christopher was getting away

from Championship rival

Macauley, but did not have

the pace to catch Kearon as

Kearon continued to edge

away. Harry Scott, Donald

Macauley and Leigh Ebanks

were squabbling for 5th with

an attempted pass on

Macauley from Ebanks at turn

3, slowing the pair down and

giving Scott some breathing

space. Wilkinson was back on

Arnold Macauley for 3rd,

shadowing him around the

track. Kearon cruised across

the line to win heat 1 ahead

of Christopher, Arnold

Macauley, Wilkinson and

Scott. Heat 2 Leigh Ebanks held onto the

lead as the green flag

waved with Adam

Christopher losing out to

Arnold Macauley as

Macauley moved into 2nd.

Christopher was all over the

back of Macauley, but lost

out to Mark Kearon at turn 3

and was hung out, losing out

to Chris Wilkinson as Ebanks

started to get away.

Macauley and Kearon

stopped fighting each other

and began to close the gap

back up to Ebanks. This plan

didn’t pay off however as Wilkinson, Christopher, Harry

Scott and Donald Macauley

caught up and joined them.

Time ticked away and

Ebanks began to increase

his lead once more, all of

the way to the chequered

flag. Macauley finished 2nd

ahead of Kearon, Wilkinson

and Christopher.

Heat 3

Donald Macauley held off

the pack through the first

few corners with Adam

Christopher and Arnold

Macauley giving chase.

Arnold Macauley managed

to slip into 2nd at the first

chicane, pulling off a

difficult move to displace his

championship rival. Arnold

followed Donald for 3 laps,

looking for a way past with

his opportunity coming into

the second chicane on lap

4, diving up the inside to

take the lead. Christopher

nearly followed through, but

Donald Macauley held on

with Chris Wilkinson now

trying to get involved.

Wilkinson tried a move at

turn 3, but slowed the pair of

them up, allowing Arnold

and Donald Macauley to

Christopher resumed his

pursuit of Donald Macauley,

and was with him as the

chequered flag was

prepared. Arnold Macauley

took the win ahead of Donald

Macauley, Christopher, Mark

Kearon and Wilkinson.

Final

Arnold Macauley led away

from pole as there was a small

pile up at turn 1. Chris

Wilkinson picked up a penalty

as a result with Mark Kearon

losing out. Adam Christopher

was promoted into 2nd as a

result, but was over a second

behind Macauley as the first

lap was completed. Donald

Macauley was hot on

Christopher’s heels as they enjoyed a healthy gap back

to Leigh Ebanks in 4th. Arnold

Macauley was stretching his

legs at the front, pulling away

as Christopher had Donald

Macauley climbing all over

the rear of his kart. Donald

was getting a good run onto

the Top Straight, but

Christopher was driving a wide

kart, defending into the first

chicane. Donald Macauley’s persistence eventually paid off

as he passed him into the

second chicane with a move

up the inside. Donald started

to then edge away from the

front of Christopher’s kart and was matching Arnold at the

front for pace, holding the

gap at the 2 second mark.

Ebanks was sitting in 4th with a

decent cushion over Harry

Scott with 1.5 seconds in his

favour with a similar gap back

to Wilkinson in 6th. Arnold got

his head down to extend his

lead as the race approached

its conclusion with Arnold

winning by 3.104 seconds from

Donald, Christopher, Ebanks

and Scott.
