Hermosillo, capital of

Sonora, located in the center of

the state at 270 kilometers from

the U.S. border and 95 miles

offshore in the Gulf of California.

The city is located at latitude 29 ° 05 'north latitude

is the 16th largest city in Mexico

Hermosillo had 14,000 inhabitants. It had a very

strong trade and a small industry that was almost

self-sufficient city in terms of clothes, shoes and

food. Its agriculture was flourishing and producing

wheat flour, after Mexico City, was the oldest of the

Republic
