English food in our study-tour

During our study-tour in England we had the opportunity to try different types of food.

We stayed in different families, and every family cooked in a different way.

We asked our classmates what they ate, and we noticed there are dishes that most of us have eaten such as fish and chips, potatoes, rice with curry and pasta.

BREAKFAST

For breakfast somebody ate bread with nutella or jam, cereals, fruit juice, coffee or croissants instead of the typical English breakfast.

We really wanted to try eggs and bacon, although we enjoyed these breakfasts because it's the food we got used to eat.

We drank a lot of coffe during the day: there were a coffee dispenser, so we used to take a Costa coffe before going to lessons because we were very tired; in the break at 10,30 and after the evening activities.

In some host families someone had coffee for breakfast, in some others they didn't.

When we went to London a lot of us tried Starbucks coffee and it was really nice.
It was better than some italian coffees and we would like to have Starbucks bars in Italy.

LUNCH

We always had lunch in Cafe Grill: most times we ate toasts or hamburgers with chips.

It was very tasty but not so healthy. Anyway it wasn't a problem because we stayed there only for one week (unfortunately).

We also tried fish and chips at home and at the bar: it was good although somebody didn't like fish.

DINNER

RICE AND CURRY
This is also a common food, it's rice with meat, carrots and a curry sauce.

BAKED POTATOES
English people usually eat baked potatoes with chicken and some sauces.

EGGS, SAUSAGES, CHIPS AND CORN
Everybody ate chips, somebody tried it with sausages and fried eggs. Somebody put corn in it, but they didn't like it.
