SITUATIONThis weekend, you went to the beach of La Laja as usual for the day and play football with friends. Upon arrival they found a large artifact stuck on the sand with a plate that says "Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands.“ Together they have decided to investigate what it is that device.

TASK

To make this work should form a cooperative group of three.

The task is to:   1. Go to the following website. 2. Take notes on the device on the image and its use.

  3. Use links that are in the next section for information on wave energy and what devices are used.  4. Search for information on why they are using that device in the Canaries.   5. Download photos regarding the issue.

PRODUCT

You have to prepare a report and photos, in a word processor on the display the following data: - What classification is the wave energy. - By what other name is known. - Classes of devices (name up to three). - What are the benefits. - Why Canarias is ideal for this type of energy.

EVALUATION

Research will overcome if the report has to develop 1. The central idea is completely clear and there is enough detail. It is accompanied by drawings and / or photos. 2. Each of you has worked, scoring, searching for information and preparing the report responsibly.

CONCLUSION

This activity is expected to make a reflection on the importance of using clean energies for the conservation and protection of the environment .
