CHURCH NEWS

If readers will pardon a pun from and old

baseball fan, the "buoys of summer" (the

markers for Marois Sailing races) are the

first sign I see from our home that the

season of joyous activity at Lac Marois

Union Church and Lac Marois Country Club

is about to begin. Now with Clean- up

accomplished, Blast-off enjoyed, Staff

deployed and Lessons begun, the opening

service at Lac Marois Union Church will take place on Sunday, June 28th, at 10:30 a.m.

The guest celebrant and preacher this coming Sunday will be Father Michael Murray, President

of Loyola High School Montreal. It is "Welcome Sunday", so come prepared to enjoy an after-

worship luncheon in the club.

As you can see from the roster in this edition of the Informer, this summer offers a varied and

interesting diet of guests at LMUC - some "old familiars" plus other new and exciting discoveries

of the Pulpit Supply Committee.

Our Music Director, Georgia Copland, welcomes any and all who enjoy singing to come early

(9h15) for choir practise.

I look forward to greeting all members of the Marois Community (friends and guests too!) on

Sundays at our lovely and beloved Church beside the Lake.

 David Sinclair

looks great and ready for the fun to begin! Michelle Zegray organized painters to give a facelift

to the steps and balcony – looks amazing! Thanks to all who participated!

Jason Puklicz is back as our Director and has a great staff! Jason has worked hard on building

a revised lesson schedule and I know our kids will have great instruction because of it! I’ll

thank-you in advance if we can all help out when and where possible.

I look forward to seeing everyone throughout the summer! If you have any club-related

questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected].

DIRECTOR’S LETTER

Another summer is upon us and we are ready to go. Blast Off was a huge success many thanks

to Andrée Cousineau and everyone who helped out. A big thanks also goes out to Stephanie

Brennan and the members who came out over the last two week-ends to get the docks out, put

the boats in the water and get LMCC & LMUC ready. Lastly, thanks to Michele Zegray and her

crew who painted the balcony. It looks great.

As I write this, I am reflecting on the first day of staff training. What amazes me most is that the

most senior staff has the same excitement in their eyes as our first years. If today's enthusiasm

is an indicator of what’s to come, we are in for an incredible summer. We are welcoming back

some new faces to staff as well welcoming brand new staff to the LMCC family: check out

“Introducing the Lac Marois Country Club 2015 Staff” spread!

If there are any issues with lessons, scheduling or your child's placement please see me or

Adrienne and we will get any issue resolved. I am sure that most people are aware that Rogers

has erected a cell tower behind city hall and now the club has very good cell phone reception. I

would like to remind everyone that at LMCC we do not have lifeguards on duty and we must

remain vigilant when our kids are playing in the water. Remember it only takes a moment.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone and sharing another great summer together.

See you on the beach,

 Jason
