Dear participants,
Hear by we are presenting you information pack that you should read, print and bring with you when you start your trip to Srbija. As you already know training
will last from 20th (day of arrival) until 28th (day of departure) of September. Project officially started on 1st of August so we are kindly asking you to start to
purchase your plain tickets ASAP.

1. Short summary of the project (aims and objectives)
The project TOPography of IDEAS is a Training Course directed at young people who are at the beginning of their carriers and they are willing to
acquire new skills and competence in idea mapping and implementing process. The Training Course will take place in the town of Brzece in Serbia,
from 20th to 28th of September 2012 and it will involve 30 participants coming from 15 different countries (Germany, Denmark, Portugal, Croatia,
Romania, Malta, Albania, Slovenia, Kosovo, Serbia, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia). We want to equip them
with new skills such as mapping of idea, which they can implement later on in their post graduated and job searching life period.
Project implementation will certainly involve methods of non-formal education, which include creating a friendly and confident environment in
purpose of stimulating learning processes of the participants. Activities include: working in small groups, power point presentations, simulation
activities, role plays, presentations, public speech, project management and creative expression. Project also involves young people with fewer
opportunities (the ones with social and economical obstacles) who don't have opportunities to participate in similar trainings that can help them to
improve their possibilities for finding a job. We expect to achieve our goals that are concerning participants abilities to use and implement their
ideas, to learn faster and remember more and most of all how to get successful in professions they will do.
When it comes to the objectives we have set up the following ones we plan to achieve:
- Raising up the personal organization management in idea development process;
- Increasing participation of young people by applying the principles of adult learning and demonstrating a range of skills and techniques;
- Developing approaches that accommodate different learning styles of participants creating safe space were they can share their own
experiences;
- Combating poverty by enhancing communication skills , through usage of mind and idea mapping tools in purpose of increasing chances for
getting jobs and enriching their CVs;
- Developing creativity and entrepreneurship while working in a multicultural environment and in purpose of international partnerships;
-Devising strategies for equipping participants with new skills and knowledge with aim of mutual understanding, decreasing of xenophobia
and increasing a level of intercultural learning;
-Selecting appropriate activities and resources for young people in topics related to future projects implementation;
- Involvement of youngsters with fewer opportunities and avoiding the marginalization of vulnerable groups;
-Contributing to the development of a professional profile of young people in purpose of their easier job searching process;
-Sharing information about recognition of competence they will gain and obtain them with Youth Pass;
-Learning how to reflect on our learning outcomes, becoming able to evaluate and orient our learning in a useful way.
2. Travel instructions and financial issues
Considering that each one of you is coming from different direction, there will be different cities from which you will take your connection to Brzece. First and
most important thing is that you check what is the allowed amount of money that you can spend on your travel tickets:
Reimbursement of your tickets will be done by the general rules of Youth in Action program, which means that you will get reimbursed 70% of your trip.
In case that your travel costs exceed proposed amount, the difference would have to be covered by your side. Please don’t use taxi, because we wont be able to
reimburse it. Connections from airport to bus station is really good as well as the connection bus station-hotel. Reimbursement of the tickets will be done once
when organization OSMEH receives back all the travel tickets from participants in original, by Western Union or direct Bank Transfer to participants
account.
Anyhow, in case that you are traveling by plane, the closest airports are Nikola Tesla in Belgrade or Pristina Airport.

In case you are traveling over Belgrade this is your traveling rout: In front of the airport there is a city bus station number 72. The last bus station is called Zeleni Venac and once when you arrive there 150 meters away is the main bus station where you will catch bus to Brzece. There are regular bus lines at : 07.00am and 15.00pm. Those busses stops exactly infront of hotel, so we recommend you to fix your flight and catch them. In case you don’t manage to catch those buses, there are regular bus lines from Belgrade to top of Kopaonik mountain, where you would have to ask bus driver to stop at the closest point of hotel Juniorin Brzece. In this case, let us know in advance your arrival to Belgrade, so we can organize a car that will pick you up and bring you to hotel. Trip Belgrade-Brzece lasts about 4 hours so bring something to read or just use the trip to take some rest
In case you are traveling over Pristina this is your traveling rout: Once when you land to Pristina, you will need to reach the bus station and take the bus to cities: Krusevac, Novi Pazar or Raska. We strongly recommend you Krusevac because it’s the closest way and you don’t have to go over whole mountain Kopaonik to reach Brzece. In case you decide to take this route, please contact us and we will send you the timetable of the busses to all cities as well as the closer instructions.
Participants from Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia and Romania, should reach Belgrade first and catch busses from main bus station. Partners from Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania should find direct busses to Nis or Krusevac, where they can find connection to Brzece.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR TRAVEL TICKETS WITH YOU. DON’T THROW AWAY ANYTHING.. JUST THE TICKETS THAT YOU BRING WILL BE
ABLE TO BE REIMBURSED. BOARDING PASSES AND LUGGAGE TICKETS ARE ALSO IMPORTANT, SO KEEP THEM AS WELL!
NOTE: Considering the new funding rules of Youth in Action program, participation on this TC requires 20 euros participation fee per
participant which will be charged through the travel cost of participants.
3. ABOUT US
OSMEH is a non-governmental youth organization based in Belgrade, Serbia.Since August 2007, we have been working to increase the participation of young people (especially those with fewer opportunities) in international youth exchange programmes,
seminars and trainings in Europe.Through promoting non-formal education and volunteering, we aim to create a sense of European citizenship among young people, as well as increasing awareness of the importance of youth work and engagement.OSMEH is active in the European Commission’s Youth in Action programme, and we have cooperated on many international and regional projects as participants and hosts.We are also a sending, coordinating and hosting organization for the European Voluntary Service programme under registration number 2008-SI-87. We are currently hosting a number of international volunteers. In addition to our international projects, OSMEH is active in implementing youth projects at local level. These projects are focused on improving our local communities, developing awareness about ecology and sustainable development, and increasing a common feeling of solidarity and humanity. Participation of young people and quality spending of free time, is the most important part of the chain of our mission. We have established close cooperation with the Youth Office of Paulilula municipality in the implementation of our local projects. This partnership also enables us to participate in the design and implementation of a national youth strategy, and to develop the concept of youth work in Serbia.Organization OSMEH is closly colaborating with other NGOs from Municipality, that are working on topics of inclusion and youth participation. 4. ABOUT THE VENUE
Brzece is situated in Serbia, its geographical coordinates are 43° 18' 6" North, 20° 53' 13" East and its original name (with diacritics) is Brzeće. It is part of Kopaonik is one of the larger mountain ranges of Serbia. Kopaonik has a rich historical heritage. The area was an important mining center during medieval times with many Saxons operating in the area as miners. During those days there was an intensive trade with Ragusa. Besides old churches and monasteries like Đurđevi stupovi, Studenica monastery, Sopoćani and Gradac Monastery, there are also several early and medieval fortresses can be found on the height, built by Serbian dynasties. The nearest Serbian medieval castle is Maglič. Today, it is one of the most famous ski centres in South East Europe, with 1200 km of tracks, great winter facilities and different offers for ski sports, leisure and spa. 5. IMPORTANT CONTACTS
Considering that until you manage to reach Brzece you will have to change couple of transports, have few stops and waiting and same time there is a
possibility that you get lost if you are first time in Serbia.

6. NOT TO FORGET
There are few stuff that you need to know before you finally finish with reading this info pack: 1. We need to know your travel plan as soon as possible; 2. Once when you buy travel ticket, send us scan so we have clear list of when you are arriving and where; 3. Bring warm clothes. No matter its September, Brzece belongs to one of the highest mountains of Serbia so its cold at nights; 4. Read carefully this info pack (especially part about arrival) 5.
