XIV NatWest Gibraltar Triathlon Sunday 16th August at 09:00.
The XIV NatWest Gibraltar Triathlon will be held on Sunday 16th August 2015, starting at 09:00.
Please arrive at the Calpe and Mediterranean Rowing Club boathouses by 08:00.
DISTANCE The course is classified as a SUPER SPRINT triathlon covering the following distances:
Swim Bicycle Run
300 m 7.8 km 3 km
ENTRIES Entry forms may be downloaded from Facebook http://www.facebook.com/groups/gibtri. You may
also obtain a hard copies from the Healthwise store in 52 Engineers Lane, Gibraltar.
The number of entries is limited for safety reasons. If there are any places left over, Triathletes
may be able to register between 0800 and 0830 on the day of competition.
ENTRY FEES Senior / Veteran / Under 18: 10 or 15 before race day, 15 or 22 on the day.
Open Relay (per team): 25 or 35 before race day, 30 or 45 on the day.
Corporate Relay Challenge: 100 per team.
To participate, please do one of the following:
1. complete the correct entry form, and take it, along with the Early Entry Fee, to Healthwise at 52 Engineer Lane; OR
2. complete the form, and bring the Race Day Entry Fee, at 08:00 on the day of the Race; OR

Please note that no competitor will be allowed to begin the race unless the indemnity form has
been read, understood and correctly signed. A parent or guardian should sign the indemnity on
behalf of any competitor aged less than 18.
TROPHIES There are different trophies for Practicing triathletes (those who have completed one triathlon in
2015) and Novices (those individuals who have not completed a triathlon in 2015.) A trophy will
be awarded each of the first three females and the first three males in both Practicing and Novice
categories. An additional prize will be awarded to the first female and first male Novice Under 18
and over 40 (Veteran). Finally, there will be trophies for first, second and third in the Corporate
Relay Challenge and the Open Relay.
All participants who manage to finish will be given a souvenir T-shirt of the event.
EQUIPMENT
Swimmers will be allowed to wear neoprene wetsuits.
Bicycle helmets are obligatory during the cycle leg.
No bicycles with time-trial bars will be allowed.

RACE CIRCUITS Swim

When joining the circuit after the swim, you may only
do so under the careful direction of a marshal, as
there might be other cyclists on the course.
Stay on the right hand side of the road at all times.
Complete SIX laps.
For the last 10 metres of the 6th lap, bear left in front
of the rowing clubs to enter the Transition Zone.
If required to overtake, please do so with extreme
caution.
FAILURE TO COMPLETE 6 LAPS OR OBEY
SAFETY REGULATIONS MAY LEAD TO
DISQUALIFICATION
Stay on the right hand side of the pavement at all times.
Be careful when crossing at any point of the route that is
open to vehicles.
Complete TWO laps.
At the end of the 1st lap, turn left at the designated cone,
keeping always on the right hand side.
Finish at the end of the 2nd lap by crossing the finish line.
Make sure that your number has been recorded by the
timekeeper when you cross the finish line.
