Information Service on Disabilities (SID) is a public Internet site designed to offer information about disabilities to Spanish speaker population. SID is a public service jointly developed by the Spanish Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs (Institute for Migrations and Social Services -IMSERSO) and the University of Salamanca (University Institute on Community Integration). SID is aimed at policymakers, planners, and managers of different settings. More specifically, it targets regional authorities, people with disabilities, NGO managers, and organizations members, university researchers and professors, professionals, intervention experts, and international organizations. SID seeks to play a role as a mediator in view of the multiplicity and broad range of information that is continuously being generated within the field of disabilities. What can be found? What can be found? SID develops a three-pronged strategy based on data gathering, systematization, and diffusion of knowledge, data, and information about persons and groups with disabilities. SID databases hold more that 65.000 classified records, organized so that preset searches on different areas, groups or locations can be chosen. Statistics and Impact Statistics and Impact Web server statistics shows a clear growing trend in several indicators like number of visitants, number of visited pages per day or time spent.
