Time Limit & Gates
Time Limit: Marathon 6 hrs. (41.6 km point)
We will set up gates at the following points for the purposes of traffic control, security and race organization.
Runners cannot continue running after each gate closes. Runners still running after each gate is closed must follow the directions of the judges and other organizing staff to immediately leave the course, and take the bus for runners following the last group of runners, or take a bus at the gate.
“The Rear Bus” runs at a constant speed according to the closure times at each gate. If a runner is passed by the Rear Bus, the judges decide that this runner will not be able to reach the next gate by its closure time, and tell the runner to stop the race immediately.
Time Limit & Gates
Time limit: Fun Run 1 hour (5.0 km point)
Water and Food
The food menu may change later. If the menu is changed, we will
publish the details on our official website.
Please do not throw away paper cups or food remains on the road; put
them in the garbage containers.
The Organizer will not be responsible for any food and water stations
other than those listed below.

Please wear your Number Card in a visible position on your chest while running. You will not be permitted to run unless you are wearing a Number Card.
If a runner or group of runners poses a threat to or interferes with any other runners, the Organizer may, at their own discretion, stop the race.
If an accident occurs, the Organizer shall provide first-aid only. The amount of compensation for damages suffered by participants will be within the

Please wear clothing that can clearly display your Number Card.
Registered runners (registered athletes of the Japan Association of Athletics Federation) are not permitted to run in costume.
Participants in the general runners category are not permitted to wear any costume that is unsuitable for a sporting event, such as one that may
upset or cause danger to other participants, or carry or wear long or large items such as swords or rods. For safety reasons, participants are not
allowed to wear a mask or paint their entire face while running. The Organizer may, at their discretion, instruct runner(s) wearing such unsuitable
costume(s) to stop the race.
Participants are not permitted to wear or display any logos or designs of companies or product names for any commercial purposes.
Time Measurement Chip (for marathon runners only)
A Time Measurement Chip will be attached to your shoe. Please carefully read the enclosed instructions for properly attaching the chip to your shoe.

The chip is embedded with an IC. Please do not leave the chip near a TV or other equipment that emits radio waves.
We will collect the chips after the runners finish.
If you register but do not run, please return the chip to the Help Desk at the venue.
If you drop out of the race, please return the chip to the race staff.

please stop running and follow the instructions of the race staff.
It is dangerous to stop running suddenly. Please look around you and slowly stop running. Please help each other to act carefully while running.
Pace runners
Pace runners (wearing a bib and balloon) will be running on the course for each target time to help you
set your running pace.
Pace runners will aim to achieve their set target time for from when the starting pistol is fired to when
crossing the finishing line (gross time). Note that the target times are estimated times and may be
different from the actual finish times.
The “Race Finish Supporters” run nearby the 6-hour pace runners to cheer on runners who run close to the
time limit, and support them in finishing the race.

★ Our priorities are to save the lives of the participants, and to proceed with the race in a safe manner. Please understand that, if a runner suffers any injury or feels unwell during the race, we will provide first-aid only.
Please train yourself sufficiently and have a medical checkup if necessary, so as to be sure that you are participating the race in as close to perfect physical condition as possible.
Please check your condition on the race day using the “Check List before Start” attached to the Number Card. If you feel unwell on the race day, please have the courage to withdraw from the race even after registration.
Write your name and emergency contact information on the back of your Number Card in case of emergency.
Light exercise focusing on stretching is recommended. Consult the “Items Useful during the Race” section below to prepare for
the race, and go to bed early to get sufficient rest.
Avoid raw or oily foods, and consume easily digestible foods mainly comprised of carbohydrates.
Get up at least three hours before the race starts, and finish your breakfast at least two hours before the race starts.
Drink some water at least 30 minutes before the race starts. It is recommended to eat some jelly to take in sufficient energy.
Be sure to use the toilet as soon as possible, and go to the starting block on time. Warm up with stretching to prepare your
body for running. Then, you’re ready to start running!
It is recommended that you drink sports drink to effectively take in the water and minerals you need to prevent dehydration and
cramp.
Drink a little water at each water station, rather than drinking a lot of water at one time. Crush the rim of the paper cup to form a
shape from which it is easier to drink water. You can easily control the amount of water you drink.
Just after the race starts, there will be many people around you. It is dangerous to run through other people, and you will expend
a lot of energy trying to do so. Run slowly as if it were a warming-up session.
You may find yourself running faster than you wish, influenced by the paces of the other runners around you. However try to keep
your own pace, for example by running at the same pace as the pace runner whose target time is similar to yours.
It is important to take care of your body so as not to cause damage to your exhausted body. After the race, cool your body down
by lightly stretching or walking. If you feel uncomfortable in your body, you can use the massage service at the Care Station.
You may want to have a drink after the race, but please be careful not to drink too much. Your stomach will be weak after the race,
and you will become drunk more easily than usual.
Here are how to deal with troubles that commonly occur during the marathon race. However, if you feel unwell, have the courage to
stop the race immediately, and ask the staff for support.
How to Spend the Day before and the Race Day
□ Cold spray
First-aid stations are not stocked with sprays,
so please prepare your own.
□ Portable foods
Candy, jelly or other foods you can easily eat to consume
necessary energy
□ A copy of your medical insurance card
You will need this if you are taken to the hospital during
the marathon race and receive treatment.
□ Adhesive plasters / Vaseline jelly
Useful to prevent shoe-sores or corns
See the past weather data
to decide on clothing
that you can easily adjust
according to the temperature.
□ Portable raincoat
This is useful not only in the rain, but also in cold weather.
You can easily make a portable poncho-style raincoat
by cutting a plastic bag.

★How to deal with troubles during the race
Leg cramp Foot corns Stomachache
Do not try to run. Move to either side of the course, and perform some bending
and stretching exercises.
If you develop foot corns, it is difficult to cure them quickly. Use adhesive
plasters or Vaseline jelly to protect your feet and prevent corns.
First, move slowly, and then take a deep breath.
