WEATHER Winter starts around May and the day time temperatures drop from the 30’s into the mid 20’s. The rains have now stopped and generally the skies are cloudless and beautifully blue, making this a very pleasant time of year. Evening and early mornings can be very cool and it is always advisable to pack some long pants and a sweater -‐ especially if you plan to do some early morning game viewing (best time to see most animals – especially lions).

COFFEE/TEA BREAKS Coffee and tea will be served, each morning and afternoon at a central place, and is already prepaid for all participants.
LUNCH Lunch and one soft drink will be served at a central place. Lunch is already prepaid for all participants. Any other dietary requirements must be pre-‐arranged directly with the hotel.
SOCIAL EVENT SUNSET CRUISE – Wednesday 17 May 2017 The cruise begins with a safety briefing shortly after launching and then, typically, journeys up river towards the Zambezi National Park. There are plenty of crocodiles and hippos to be seen and the bird life is quite spectacular. Watch for elephants along the banks or, if you are extremely lucky, elephants swimming or snorkeling across the river.
EVENING MEALS Participants may have their evening meals at the hotel’s restaurant. There is a wide variety of food for all tastes and budgets. Participants are expected to settle their own bills for their meals and drinks directly with the hotel.
SECURITY Like in any other city in the world, participants are advised to take the necessary security precautions for their personal belongings. You may seek assistance from the hotel regarding items that require safekeeping.
SECRETARIAL ASSISTANCE Secretarial services and other assistance are available for a nominal fee at the hotel’s business center.
