The Film and Publication Board (FPB) is a statutory body, with its main task being the classification of films, videos, DVDs, computer games and certain publications for their suitable age viewership. Our mission is to be a “credible and visible content classification authority” and we require the following individual to carry this forward at our head office in Centurion, Pretoria:
INFORMATION COMMUNICATIONS: TECHNOLOGY MANAGER (ICT)
The ICT Manager post is responsible for the overall management of the day-to-day operations of the ICT Infrastructure, strategy development and implementation, planning and coordination of all operational and strategic activities in terms of the requirements stipulated in the Film and Publications Act.
Requirements: • A relevant tertiary Computer Science degree/qualification • At least 5 years’ IT experience at a similar level, preferably within a regulatory/media environment, including experience in a public sector governance framework • Good project management experience • Working knowledge and understanding of legislation governing the Film and Publications environment/media industry and how this legislation would impact on the management and storage of information • Experience in the current IT governance framework • Knowledge of Public Administration (PFMA) systems and requirements • Good planning, organising, communication and teamwork skills • Strategic thinking.
