  • Effectiveness should not be ignored as well as competition.Cost oriented call termination rate has vital importance for competition.Hesitation of decreasing about tax revenue is in vain.(Although call termination rate has been decreased almost %300, off-net traffic volume has increased almost %400)Effective MNP is also important tools for competition.

    *Distinguished Participants,It is a great privilege and honour for me to address such a distinguished audience here about NRAs Role.During my presentation, I will give some information about Communications sector of Turkey and I will discuss the importance of ICT in transportation. At this point I will mention about our main projects. ***ngilizce ve renkli bir eyler koyalm.*Mobile interconnection rates have decreased also. Turkcell, which is the biggest mobile operators, has interconnection rate of 3.13 kurus which was 15.6 in 2004. Mobile interconnection rates in Turkey are one of the lowest among the EU countries.

    *Mobile number portability has begun on November 9, 2008. In a very short period of time, the numbers ported has increased a lot and exceeded 25 million by February 201.
