Commercial catch size ranges from 18 to 30 cm and 0.23 to 0.91 kg.

Large lobsters can exceed 20 kg. Un gros homard peut peser plus de 20 kg.

Lobsters reach legal, commercial size after five to seven growing seasons, depending on water temperature.

Lobster fishermen in the southern Gulf of St. Lawrence catch more than 54 million lobsters per year. Lined up one behind the other, these lobsters would stretch 13,500 km, enough to get across the Atlantic Ocean 3 times.
