The ShipServ Onboard products enable onboard crew to research products, accurately specify a requisition,recommend suppliers, and launch an onboard requisition builder. It’s used on thousands of vessels.

ShipServ Onboard consists of two parts:

Print and/or iPad Edition: a 1300-page ordering guide (previously known as Mariner’s Annual) with detailed catalog pages (including specs, illustrations, pictures and model numbers) covering all product typesDigital Edition: a CD, installed on PC aboard, which includes a catalog search engine

Who receives ShipServ Onboard?

Crew receive the Print Edition or Digital Edition (CD),or both, and can download the iPad version.

They use ShipServ Onboard to specify the required item, document this into a formal requisition, find relevantsuppliers and then send that requisition ashore - either to their purchasing department or directly to the chosen suppliers.

This means there are various ways you, as a supplier,distributor or manufacturer, can influence both the specification and supplier selection process.

ShipServ Onboard is used onboard thousands of vesselsoperated by major shipping companies and managers, plus on offshore drilling rigs and small commercial vessels.

It is also used by ship chandlers and offshore suppliers in ports around the world and by those who design, build and repair vessels.

Both print and digital editions are updated and sent out once a year. Over 12,500 of the next edition (2014) will be sent and don't forget each copy is used by several different people onboard including the master/captain and chief engineer.
