Energy Savings are a Value that Lasts ForeverInside the refrigerated warehouse of Ferrer Frozen Food Logistics, where very high shelving and storage of goods can create problems of handling and visibility, Cree® luminaires have significantly increased the visibility, improving the movement of people and goods, and contributed to significant energy savings.

Inside the cold storage, refrigerated at -25° C, 48 Cree® 304 Series™ luminaires were installed, equipped with 60 LEDs fitted with nano optics, to ensure a level of optimum illumination.

Maintenance, One Cost Less to be ConsideredPromek is a Norwegian company that specializes in building aluminum boats, particularly for the fishing industry. Recently the company has replaced the old lighting system with Cree® lighting to create a more comfortable environment with high-quality neutral white light that helps to maintain a high level of attention, especially during the processing steps that require extreme precision.

Inside a covered area of about 3,500 square meters 139 Cree® LED fixtures were installed at 9 meters height. The Cree® LED lighting solution ensures a significantly better color rendering than the previous system. Furthermore Cree luminaries ensure a lifetime of over 100,000 hours, a very significant fact considering the costs associated with suspending production for complex relamping operations in high-ceiling spaces.

A further contribution to saving is given by the decrease in energy consumption (about 21 kilowatts per device, at full power) with a cost reduction of over 50%.
