APR12PALLET RACKING INDUSTRIAL RACKING
Set up as a company specialising in theorganisation of space, Armes has operatedsuccessfully in the field of warehousing andstorage since 1956. Our company stands out asan example of a robust, reliable productionsystem employing state-of-the-art equipment. Our advanced technological/managerial know-how gives added value to a product that hasencountered widespread customer approval for years.
Starting from the diagnosis of the customer’sneeds, through the planning stage and theinstallation of fully operational, integratedsystems, we are able to offer a complete service. In addition to the vast range of our ownproducts we also work closely with the associatecompanies that form part of the Ferretto Group:Promag Spa (San Polo d’Enza), specialists in thearea of storage automation systems andArchimede Ingegneria Srl (Busto Arsizio).
Thus Armes has at its disposal the strength andflexibility of what is, in effect, a globalpartnership. We are able to offer solutions ofvarying degrees of sophistication, each onetailored to the customer’s unique requirements. We can furnish highly complex automaticinstallations on a turn-key basis and also provideafter-sale service.

Armes has always been tightly focusedon two fundamental areas: high qualityand the use of cutting-edge productionmethods and technology. As a result of this policy, our companycan safely say that it is one of theleaders in its field. Proof of this claimlies in the fact that Armes belongs to anelite group of companies that havesigned up to the CISI program of auto-certification created by the Associationof Italian Steel Constructors.
The CISI logo, "CISI QUALITA’ ESICUREZZA" (CISI QUALITY ANDSAFETY) represents a guarantee that themanufacturers who display it adoptcertain specific, stringent procedures.Procedures which ensure that theproducts regulated and distinguished bysaid logo have been manufactured inaccordance with codified norms andstandards.
Our policy of high quality also involvesthe various phases of the productionprocess. The company has beenawarded the WPQR (Welding ProcedureQualification Record), a certificaterenowned at European level, by BureauVeritas for all welding operations.
A COMPANY...In line with our dedication to customersatisfaction in the areas of pre/post-saleservice, we at Armes have certified ourown QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEMbased on UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 normsand attested by the CertificationOrganisation "DET NORSKE VERITAS”.

APR12 is such a versatile system that it is suitable for small-medium and largeinstallations. It is produced in three versions:Light L, Medium M and Heavy P, each of which is different, due to the use of high resistance certified structural steel strips of varying thickness. This ensures solutions to a vast range of
needs, thanks to the possibility to adjust theload capacity of the frames, guaranteeing anexcellent combination between technicalperformance and economic benefits. The components of the APR12 systemare available in different surface finishes:painted, galvanised. The paint is obtained from epoxy powder

dye series, which is applied by means ofgrease removing, phosphate coating, washing, oven drying, enamel paintelectrodeposition and later, thermal tunnelpolymerisation. The special design of the uprights enables to use all the beams on any type of frame. The completeness of the available solutions
(without even considering the “non standard” sizes that can be sometimesrealized) makes it extremely difficult to find a problem in Industrial Racking which we could not resolve in the best of ways with APR12 system.

CONNECTION
The connection between uprights andbeams forms one of the most importanttechnical elements in a racking unit.Armes’ solution guarantees the bestcompromise amongst stability, rigidity, flexibility, safety and ease of assembly. Its efficiency widely increases the“connection coefficient” and so it
optimizes the overall hold. The innovative brackets with 4 or 5 hooksare equal for all upright types and vary onlydepending on the beams section. The lugs, fashioned on the front face of thebrackets by means of a drawing process, are oriented in an opposite way andtherefore they work either under traction

or under compression.Floor fixing is also of great structuralsignificance and is achieved by the use ofspecially designed foot-plates and specificexpansion bolts. Moreover, if the floor is uneven, a completerange of shims are available to ensureabsolute accuracy.

COMPONENT
Besides having different sections foreach type and thickness (L, M, P)APR12 uprights are available in a wide range of sizes. They are manufactured in a single pieceup to 12 m, while special joints make itpossible to reach lengths exceeding 20 m, maintaining the same hole pitch.
Further special joints enable rackingusing upright variable-sections, to make full use of material, cutting weight and costs when the load capacity of a homogeneoussection is excessive. Each frame is formed by two uprights joined by diagonals

COMPONENTS
The APR12 system is also equipped with a large number of accessories, specifically designedaccording to the nature and type of materials being stored, enabling the solution to any type of need connected to any kind of material storage.
As illustrated, it is possible to choosefrom a great deal of different types and sizes of drop-in galvanised plates,load-stop barriers, two types of intermediate support bars, tubular dividers and drum-carrier frames. Therefore it is really difficult to imagine storage problems,

To create a perfect warehouse storagesystem, APR12 Pallet Racking offers a very wide choice of additionalcomponents, needed for organising, marking, movement protection betweenracks, connection and wall fixing. Here are then heading buffers, upright buffers, forklift guides,
spacers between frames and for wallconnection, protection wire meshes and linear load-stop barriers. All components respect the samequalitative APR12 standard; thanks to their design and quality of manufacturing, they guarantee the highest level

Very large and composed the range ofavailable APR12 frames. The system's strong point lies however in its performance, achieved through its unique designconcept: e.g., its uprights boast a high performance in relation to thedevelopment of the metal sheet utilised.
Consequently, the frames can withstand considerable loadcapacities, as outlined in the diagrams, showing performances obtained with structural type steel (in exceptional cases, even higher tensile steel may be used).

More than 550frame models ensurethe possibilityto satisfy in a preciseand specific way the users’ needs.
The “P” depth is present with 12 versions, varying from 500 mm up to 1600 mm with 100 mm pitch.
The height “H” goes from 2000 mm up to 12000 mm with a standard pitch of 500 mm.
The frames can also be higher both in galvanised or painted finishing; in such a case, however, special joints are necessary.

The APR12 system offers such a widechoice of beams, as to satisfy all demands, either functional or of load capacity.Although brief, this description of the mainbeam types helps to make clear theperformance according to profile type, section size and overall beam length.
Here listed are the maximum load capacitiesfor pair of beams (uniformly distributed load)expressed in kNewton (1 kN 100 kg).
The load capacities have beencalculated as per ACAI-CISI andF.E.M. (Fédération Européennede la Manutention) norms.

APR12 Pallet Racking StorageSystem consists of a body of frames, connected by horizontal beams, allowing storage on vertical loadinglevels. The groups of racks are separatedby aisles of varying sizes, accordingto specific requirements. This is the simplest and most widespread
application of the APR12 system. Thanks to the use of special beams andgalvanised plates creating "loadinglevels”, the APR12Pallet Racking Storage System is alsoable to operate manually (picking)storage of different load units such asboxes, crates, containers, etc.

The possibility of carrying out multi-tierracking systems with load bearingwalkways further widens the range of guaranteeing the most effectivesolution to all problems.Being so versatile, an extreme stiffstructure due to its uprights, beams andjoints features, consents installations
of the most diversified shapesand sizes and for all uses, moreoverhaving an excellent price-performancerelation for all demands.
