Star Delta Electrix was originally equipped to supply basic electrical requirements to the
domestic and industrial markets. In the last seven years however, the range of products
available have become more diverse and varied. This together with the introduction of an open
www.stardelta.net Page 4
market and the easier accessibility of imported goods and the competition saturated, led to the
eventual decision of the supply, sale and service of the specialization in certain products and
eventual diversification into pre-paid smart water meters, particularly the Baylan brand.
Constant online liaison with suppliers, transport and clearing agents both within and outside of
our borders ensure that products and components are made available to the customer
effectively and reasonably.
Through the efficient and reliable service of qualified and technically well versed travelling sales
representatives and equally experienced, competent and skilled projects team, Star Delta is
able to provide a quality range of renowned products and workmanship both to customers
within and outside of main cities and towns. Customers in the whole of Zimbabwe and beyond
all benefit from the service, back-up and technical advice provided by these sales
representatives. Considering Zimbabwe's renowned mineral wealth, approximately 75% of all
Star Delta's business dealings are carried out with the mining sector, agreeably a specialized
field within itself.
Training plays an important role in the day to day running of the Company. The management
firmly believes that complete knowledge and knowhow of a product and job is absolutely vital
in its sale. Training is not only carried out within the in-house training centre where staff and
customers are introduced and lectured on the product, but also at customer premises outside
of the main cities of Harare and Bulawayo. These training programs are set up in conjunction
with the product supplier who inevitably sends experienced personnel to lecture and
demonstrate the product.
To ensure customer awareness, Star Delta Electrix markets itself through the public media as
well as exhibiting at various regional shows. Depending on the location and the reasoning
behind the show, Star Delta will adjust accordingly and exhibit the range of products and
services available to fit in with the show’s particular theme. These shows have been successful
in not only securing future sales and projects, but familiarizing both the businesses and the
public with the company, its products and the services available to the customer.
Star Delta offers a flexible credit facility controlled by the in-house computerized accounting
system. All statements, invoices and receipts are systematically printed and distributed by the
www.stardelta.net Page 5
up to date accounting system. Star Delta has a same day delivery service and deliveries within
the Harare and Bulawayo areas are carried out free of charge. The Company also packs for
courier services and rail for deliveries outside of these main cities.

Management Profiles
Honest Chida
Having worked as Area Sales Representative and later Regional Sales & Marketing Manager for
BICA Engineering and BICA Electrical Wholesalers, a then 3M Scotch Electrical Products
Distributor between 2000 and 2004, Honest Chida was placed at the deep end at a tender age
to introduce the 3M brand in the southern region of the country thereby spearheading the
dominance of the brand in the region, a then uncharted territory.
After having established the brand as a force to be reckoned with, new challenges were
beckoning and between 2005 and 2006 he was appointed Operations Manager at Centronics
Electrical where he spearheaded the phenomenal growth of a small organization into one of the
biggest electrical companies in Bulawayo, in the process gaining and imparting even more
product and technical knowledge and managerial skills.
Having gained such immense knowledge and experience, an offer to lead Golden Triangle
Holdings and its subsidiaries as the G.C.E.O between 2007 and 2010 was irresistible as it
presented yet another milestone in management and enhancement of different economic
sector diversification.
The process was then put into its proper perspective when in 2010 an opportunity to lead both
the Zimbabwean and Southern African (SADC) Regional operations as General Manager at Star
Delta Electrix, incorporating Star Delta Electrical Contracting and Star Delta Consultancy
Services, itself a leader in the marketplace with close to three decades of offering products of
the highest technology and service that leaves nothing to be desired, was again as irresistible as
it was flattering, presenting a chance to subsequently buy into the business and become a
director. He is the incumbent C.E.O and Managing Director of the organization. With a total of
fourteen years experience of working at the top level and currently studying for an MBA with
the Australian Business Institute, the added responsibilities of leading a group of companies
become easier by the day with experience and knowledge combined together. He is fluent in
English, Shona and Ndebele languages.

industry in which it proved beyond doubt that it was a reliable supplier of genuine electrical
products and services. He joined Star Delta as the Operations Manager in March 2011 and his

has managed to put it into practice at several organizations. At such a tender age, he possesses
exceptional leadership skills capable of motivating others to achieve desired results within

Managing production at ABB Botton Armature Winding enabled him to be a goal driven
engineer, obtain vast experience in logistical and hands on abilities. Knowledge combined with
experience has permitted Mr. Mupandawana to have the capacity to interact with regional and
international technical persons which exposure has contributed tremendously in the refinement
of the engineer.
His keenness to perform well under pressure and capability of achieving good service
individually and in a team set up has elevated his public relations skills and human management

project. From experience, three days for small jobs and a minimum of one week for more
complex ones is more than sufficient to fully impart the goal of the project to the personnel
responsible.
Mobilization of materials/ procurement is a miniature task since Star Delta is an official
distributor of various electrical components manufacturers. We are official distributors
(licenced) of Hellerman Tyton, Reeflite, Rayvos, Benedict & Jager, Schneider, Jointmaster,
Omron, Telux and BMG. The above mentioned are reputable and respected companies in the
electrical field which provide products of unquestionable quality. In all projects Star Delta has
accomplished, it supplies and installs mostly products that it distributes because product quality
is then guaranteed. On pre-paid smart water meters, Star Delta has managed to partner with
one of Europe and the world’s biggest and oldest water meter manufacturers, with over
50years in the business, Turkish based Baylan Meters, to supply, install and commission prepaid
smart water meters and billing platform software packages, with full technical back up support
from the factory, to Sub-Saharan Africa.

Depending on the project budget and the urgency of the project, Star Delta is highly flexible in
mobilization of manpower and materials. Even if most suppliers to such projects may not be in
Zimbabwe, Star Delta has the capacity to gather materials in a minimum period of five working
days depending on the project size and quantum of materials.
Projects Lead Time
As always indicated by Gantt charts like the one in this document, we always anticipate the
completion time of projects to be within the shortest possible time frames, assuming availability
of materials and non delays on related logistics. (See Gantt chart attached to this document).

Health, Safety and Environment
Company Quality/Safety and Environment Systems
The company attained membership with Zimbabwe Electrical Switchboard Manufacturers
Association due to the fact that it had proved high levels of competence in terms of quality
standards. The Electrical workshop abides by the NSSA conditions of factory safety and Star
Delta equipment and machinery undergoes periodic safety check ups.
The company has policy standards that it maintains in all its operations. Below are some of the
key components contained in the policy systems. The safety and health of every employee is a
high priority. Management accepts responsibility for providing a safe working environment and
employees are expected to take responsibility for performing work in accordance with safe
standards and practices. Safety and health will only be achieved through teamwork. Everyone
must join together in promoting safety and health and taking every reasonable measure to
assure safe working conditions in the company.
Our statement of general policy is:
to provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work
activities;
to consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety;
to provide and maintain safe plant and equipment;
to ensure safe handling and use of substances;
to provide information, instruction and supervision for employees;
to ensure all employees are competent on their tasks, and provide adequate training;
to prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health;
to maintain safe and healthy working conditions;
to prevent damage to the environment; and
to review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals.
The best Safety and Health Programs involve every level of the organization, instilling a safety
culture that reduces accidents for workers and improves the bottom line for managers at the
same time doing sustainable environmental management. When Safety, Health and
Environment are part of the organization and a way of life, everyone wins.
