Kett will introduce the LU200, a hand-held ultrasonic thickness gauge, which provides nondestructive measurement of coatings on polymer, organic, and thin metallic substrates. Coating thickness is tested with the LU200 and the reflectance measured. The system calculates the relation- ship between reflected sound and coating thickness and stores the cali- bration in nonvolatile memory. Once calibrated, instant measurement is provided on test samples. Data is dis- played on the LCD and may be stored in memory. Test results may be trans- mitted to a printer or PC through the RS232 connection.
