PRODUCT INTRODUCTIONThe Marathon 350 was developed to be a compact, highly-mobile spotter offering professional performance on uphol-stery, staircases, drapes and other challenging cleaning applications. We wanted our customers to be able to operate the Marathon 350 right out of the box with all the tools necessary as standard, including a floor tool and wand.The hand and floor tools were designed to be semi-enclosed. This design ensures that more water is contained within the cleaning path, improving water recovery and helping to reduce dry times.The features found on the Marathon 350 exceed those found on competitive spotters in the market today.

Key Features

1. Removable Solution and Recovery TankBoth tanks can easily be lifted out and quickly set back into place. Refilling the solution bucket at the sink using the handy water level indicators is convenient and saves valuable time. The recovery tank doubles as a removable bucket that is easy to carry and dump when full into any approved drain area.

2. Defoamer Solution TankAs the vacuum draws the recovery solution into the recovery tank, it draws the correct amount of defoamer solution into the tank as needed. This features avoids overuse of chemical defoamer and doesn’t introduce unnecessary liquid into the recovery tank.

3. Enclosed Spotting and Floor ToolBoth the spotting and floor tools are semi-enclosed, keeping the water better contained inside the vacuum shoe. Keeping the water contained within the vacuum shoe allows greater recovery and helps to decrease dry times in high traffic areas because it helps reduces the amount of water left on the surface being extracted.

4. Complete KitAll tools come as standard with the Marathon 350 Spotter. A vacuum hose, high-pressure spray hose, carpet cleaning wand, floor tool and utility hand tool are neatly stored in the separate accessories bag avoiding lost parts and keeps the utility closet in order.

5. Solution Pump DisableThe solution pump can be turned off for continued extraction when additional spray isn’t needed. Using the vacuum feature alone for added extraction, decreases drying time in busy public spaces.

6. Motor FilterThe easily-accessible foam filter keeps lint and other fine debris from entering the vacuum motor. This feature provides an additional level of protection for the pump operation.

7. Wheel ArrangementThe two back wheels are large transport wheels and the two front wheels are casters. This four-wheel design adds stability and the casters allow the unit to smoothly follow the op-erator’s movements during use, adding ease of mobility.


Narrative Bid Specifications

Specified Unit Marathon 350, Model: 98132

Summary The specified unit shall be a commercial-grade, single-motor carpet spotter with a 93/4" inch cleaning path for the floor tool and 4" cleaning path for the utility hand tool. There will be two separate motors━one to power the vacuum and the other to power the pump. Standard features will include vacuum hose, high-pressure spray hose, wand, floor tool, utility hand tool and a separate accessories holder. The unit shall be equipped with a foam filter for added pump protection. The warranty shall be as follows:Two years parts / One year labor. Wear item and abuse and misuse not covered.

Motors The vacuum and pump shall be powered by two separate motors. The vacuum motor shall be a 1,100 W / 9 amp motor and the pump shall be powered by a 50 W motor.

Cord Electric cord shall be 15', 16 gauge, 3 wire.

Vacuum Hose & High-Pressure Spray Hose

The unit shall come with a 8' vacuum hose that connects the floor tool or hand tool to the main body of the carpet spotter. The high-pressure solution spay hose is attached to the 8' vacuum hose and connects to the body of the machine with a quick disconnect. The vacuum hose shall have a protective strain relieve build into the wand connection.

Filter The vacuum motor shall have a replaceable foam filter that prevents lint and other small debris from entering the vacuum.

Removable Tanks The solution and recovery tanks shall be removable and constructed of durable plastic .

Waterproof Motor and Power Switches

All motor and power functions are contained to protect from moisture.

Wand Two-piece, 41" aluminum wand allows for comfortable body position when using the floor tool for carpet cleaning.

Enclosed Tools The floor and hand tool included with the unit shall be of a semi-enclosed design. Keeping water contained within the vacuum shoe while in operation.

Tool Storage The unit shall come with a separate storage bag to hold the tools, wand and hose. All of these items come standard with the unit.

Wheels The two rear wheels shall be 7" in diameter and constructed in a shock absorbing design using the wear resistant plastic material. The two front wheels are casters to allow for stability and smooth operation.
