The education abroad interest is a growing population among undergraduate students. According to Opendoors (2014), the population has grown from 62,000 students in 1987-1988 to 289,000 in 2012-2014. The number of U.S. students studying abroad has grown by 2% over the past year and is now at record high (Opendoors, 2014). The most popular majors of undergraduate students are STEM majors, Social Science majors, and Business majors (Opendoors, 2014) and most students are taking their opportunity during a short-term summer program (Opendoors, 2014).
