• Je gebruikt indirect speech om iets na te vertellen wat iemand anders heeft gezegd. Het gaat over iets wat in het verleden is gebeurd dus de werkwoordstijd is anders

Direct speech:• Laura: “I am not tired”• Peter: “I work hard”

• Present simple

Indirect speech:• She said (that) she was not

tired• He said (that) he worked hard

• Past simple

• Oliver: “I am looking for a job”

• Present continuous

• He said that he was looking for a job.

Indirect speech:• David said (that) they had

• Mom: “We sat here for hours”

• Past simple

Verandering van persoonlijk voornaamwoorden

• Laura said (that) she was not tired

• David said (that) they had both seen that thriller

• Laura: ‘I am not tired’

• David: ‘We have both seen that thriller’

Plaats

• Mom: “We sat here for hours”

• Mom said (that) they had sat there for hours

• Je vertelt iets na met “indirect speech”, dus hier wordt daar.

Even oefenen• Sandra: ‘You play the piano very well.’• She said (that) I played the piano well.

• Peter: ‘We are waiting outside’.• He said (that) they were waiting outside.

• Walter: ‘She has given me a birthday gift’.• He said (that) she had given him a birthday gift.

• Grandma: ‘I lost my temper’• Grandma said (that) she had lost her temper
