NEW DELHI, Mar 15:

No-frill airline IndiGo todaylaunched eight new flights, mostlyto increase frequencies to connectmajor cities like Bhubaneshwar,Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Lucknowand Srinagar.

Effective today, IndiGo startedoperations of new daily non-stopflights between Delhi andDibrugarh and return via Guwahatiand Kolkata. It would also connectLucknow with Srinagar via Delhi,an airline statement said.

IndiGo also announced athird non-stop flight from Delhito Bhubaneshwar and Guwahati,fifth non-stop flight from Delhito Lucknow and Srinagar andsixth non-stop flight betweenDelhi and Hyderabad.

Commenting on the newflights, IndiGo’s President and

Executive Director AdityaGhosh said, “We are committedto providing maximum connec-tivity on our network...And areconfident that these additionalflights will prove immenselyconvenient for our passengers.”

He said Dibrugarh wouldbecome an important part of theairline’s destination network.

With a fleet of 77 Airbus A-320s, IndiGo would now onoperate 485 daily flights con-necting 36 destinations. (PTI)
