Mumford & Sons is a band with a type of Indie folk rock, whether it be their sound to their fashion style. The band includes Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Winston Marshall and Ted Dwane. They are a British rock band formed in 2007. They released 3 albums since starting: Sigh no more (2009), Babel (2012), Wilder Mind (2015). At first their sound was made up using acoustic and folk instruments, which made it hard at first for them to get across the meaning of music and what they were about wasn’t folklore music from where they came from but the atmosphere they could create with people listening to good music and having a good time. They got their first shot when ‘Little lion man’ debuted in 2009 and continued into 2010. (which was in their first album ; Sigh no more.). Also they played in Glastonbury Festival in 2013 as a headline act and since then have appeared on more shows and festivals ever since.

Nirvana is a indie alternative rock band, that is American. It was formed in 1987 by guitarist and singer Kurt Cobain. They have successfully sold 39 albums since starting, some of their most popular ones are; With the lights out (2004), In Ultero ( 1993), Bleached ( 1989) and MTV unplugged in New York (1994). Besides Kurt Cobain the other current members of the band are Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl. By the 1990’s their first mainstream successes was their ‘Nevermind’ album. Since then they have been earning global recognition and popularity however in 1994 Kurt Cobain had passed away . Though this had happened the bands fame still lived on to this day as the remaining band members and record label had distributed some of their unreleased songs and albums through out recent years. Their sound was the underground music scene where they were one of the first bands to create the type of grunge music too.

Lana Del Rey is considered an Indie pop artist from her sound to her fashion style which is really vintage retro. Her actual name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant and she is an American singer, song writer and model as well. It has been noted that her style of music is cinematic but otherwise known as indie pop. Her debut was ‘born to die’ ( 2012). All so her popularity rose at that time by web 2.0 use of YouTube buzz of her ‘video games’ single. She then went on to produce a remix of her ‘Summertime sadness’ single from that album. Also released ‘Ultraviolence’ album( 2014). She grew up with a Christian background, that then became a troubled teen that cleaned up her act as she became serious about her music. Her sound is inspired by the 1980’s and 1960’s American style. Which indivertibly styled her image and dress sense as well.
