• These individuals dared to think the unthinkable & do the un-doable... all because they had an innovative approach 

ANIRUDH SHARMA• Anirudh Sharma designed a

shoe for the visually impaired • User begins by speaking their

destination on Google Maps using their Android smart phone, it vibrates to show them the right path

• The shoes will lead the user to the desired destination by notifying him or her about the turns

• A left or right turn would be indicated by a vibration on that particular side of the shoe

• These haptic shoes for assisting the blind in mobility won him the MIT Tech Review TR35 ‘Innovator of the Year’ award in 2012  

SHUBHAM BANERJEE• Shubham Banerjee has invented a

low-cost braille printer from Lego blocks

• Since childhood he was a lego lover• He came up with an idea to put his

toys to better use • A month of trial & error later he

managed to design a Braille printer with the help of his $350 toy set

• Banerjee proudly named this invention as “Braigo” which is a mash-up of Braille & Lego 

MANSUKH BHAI PRAJAPATI• Mansukh Bhai Prajapati has

invented "MittiCool“• A fridge made of clay that

works without electricity!• When Mansukh Bhai

suffered a severe loss in the Gujarat earthquake he got an idea to make a fridge out of clay

• “Mitticool” which runs without electricity & also preserves the original taste of the food items

• He also even invented non-stick earthen tavas, earthen thermos flasks & water filters

GAUTAM KUMAR• Gautam Kumar has created a frugal alarm

that detects gas leaks• This device has sensors that can detect the

smell of leaked gas • After detecting gas leak it immediately send

alerts to mobile phones • It send alerts to five mobile phones

registered with it through a SIM card & network connectivity

• The buzzer or SMS alerts continue until the LPG quantity in the air reduces to a safe level

AMOL SUHAS GHEMUD• Amol Suhas Ghemud has

developed a one-stop destination for all adventure enthusiasts

• To feed his wanderlust, Amol decided to give up his career in aviation

• He started “TrekTo” an innovative platform

• It aims to be the central information portal for all adventure activities in India

• On the website users can compare different groups providing same facility on the basis of price, date, expertise, offerings & more!

DEEPAK RAVINDRAN• Deepak Ravindran is bringing

the power of Internet to feature phones

• During his LBSCE college days in Kerala he came up the idea

• The idea of SMS-based queries on the Internet

• His project was mentioned in a local newspaper

• He got supported by Technopark Incubator & IIM Ahmedabad iAccelerator

• Product was later branded as SMS Gyaan via an Airtel partnership & is currently also being marketed to other operators

HARSH SONGRA• Harsh Songra has developed

an app that helps parents screen mental disorders

• He was been diagnosed with Dyspraxia in his childhood, so he developed an app ‘My Child’

• This app let's parents diagnose whether their kids are having a learning disability or not

• App helps in screening of delayed motor coordination & neurological disorders

• All of these are key disorders that can be detected in children during the age from 11 to 24 months

Sometime all it takes to solve a problem is to Bend the Rules. So if
