Competing with giant firms with diverse security and control access production that distribu-ted limited systems, Presion y Fuerzaʼs strategy focused on manufacture and the developmentof automatic bollards, specialising in the following three basic sectors:

• “Control access bollards designed for pedestrian areas”

• “Security anti-terrorism bollards for retail outlets, high-end jewellery stores, high se-curity zones including government buildings and ministries, embassies and consula-tes, armed forces headquarters and buildings, police force stations, and a long etc”

• “Bollards to protect private homes, sports centres, nautical clubs, public parkings…”

Since its creation, Presion y Fuerzaʼs priority is to addressall technical, aesthetic and functional requirement de-mands by not only the private but also public sectors. Itsfocus is on design, manufacture, sales and maintenanceof a wide range of automatic bollards of the highest quality.Presion y Fuerza custom manufactures as well to adapt toall sectors, accepting all necessary variant demands fromits clients, complying with all special technical requirementsexclusively in each case.

The bollards of Presion y Fuerza comply with the Frenchnorms NF P 98,310 and in accordance with the directive73/23/CEE. The firmʼs technologies moreover have the ap-proval of the Ministero dei Trasporti, Dipartimento per i Tras-porti Terrestri, Direzione Generale per la Motorizzazionenorms.

When manufacturing for both interiors as well as exteriors,Presion y Fuerza looks after its product quality by utilisingthe highest quality stainless steel, that is, AISI-316-L marineanticorrosive in all the pieces and components. The saidcomponents undergo rigorous quality control and are indivi-dually tested. Furthermore, the pieces and components un-dergo durability and wear and tear tests to ensure maximumsecurity, increase technology life-time and reduce mainte-nance of the systems to a minimum.

Quality control is seriously pursued as a strategy to en-hance our competitiveness, and indeed is one of our basicpillars. Presion y Fuerzaʼs mission is to constantly developnew testing machines to further enhance the life of automa-tic and semiautomatic bollards, putting all its componentsthrough rigorous testing. These characteristics stand outwhen our bollards are compared to those of other manufac-turers.

4 Introduction

As Presion y Fuerza is a manufacturer, its experts can adaptits products according to the special requirements for im-plementation and client needs, with different diameters,heights, thickness and materials. Therefore, depending onthe security needs, we can adapt thickness from 3, 4, 5, 6,12, up to 22 mm.

Presion y Fuerza's antiterrorism Bollards PNI-161-22mmundergo certifications test set by "U.S. DOS" level K12(6,800 kg to 80 kph = 1,695,000 J) vehicle impact resistanceof the then specification SD.STD-02.01 level K12, now re-placed by the corresponding ASTM-F2656-07, and certifi-cation BSI-PAS68.

Presion y Fuerza has a wide range of 200 automatic andsemiautomatic bollards and 90 extractable and fixedmodels, with extensive remote control command, and au-tomatic systems, (electric and electronic cupboards, powergroups, remote controls, proximity cards, GSM system,ADSL, etc); additionally, the elements to solve control ac-cess problems, whether to regulate traffic or to protect(speed reducers, guide posts, traffic lights, etc)

AUTOMATICBOLLARDS

AUTOMATIC BOLLARDS are designed to control access inpublic and private areas to regulate traffic fluidity in urbanand pedestrian zones and to guarantee the antiterrorism se-curity at embassies, military zones, police stations, banksand other vulnerable places.

Automatic Bollards are a perfect solution for security needsagainst terrorism at restricted and protected access zones;those bollards are specially designed to support a crashof a vehicle collision without deforming or affecting thesystem.

Maximum resistance to collisions is a distinctive characte-ristic of the Presion y Fuerza products. All bollards are cre-ated with a personal design to make bigger the resistance.

Presion y Fuerza bollards are submitted to crash tests inorder to guarantee perfect operational functions. Additio-nally, they are tested in durability studies, reaching morethan 10,000,000 cycles without having to change any piece.The durability of its components is excellent, such as valvesthat go through test frequencies of 25,000,000 cycles, andcylinders of up to 16, 000,000 cycles without demonstratingany wear and tear.

The application of Presion y Fuerza automatic bollards isdesigned for areas of many users entailing their constantmovements; the pop-ups and pop-downs are automatic (in-itiated via remote control, proximity card, push button, GSM,GPRS, etc).

Usually, Presion y Fuerza manufactures its control systemsin Stainless Steel AISI-316-L Marine Anticorrosive due toits proven durability against water, rain, snow, nitrate, sandand collisions. This material is considered the best compa-red to any other. In some cases Presion y Fuerza manufac-tures its bollards in steel that is plastified or galvanized,covered in rubber or recycled materials, as required by itsclients.

Even though its standard equipments height is up to 500mm700mm or 1000mm, Presion y Fuerza, as a manufacturer,adapts its bollards dimensions according to specific requi-rements of each client. 8mm is considered standard thick-ness. Nevertheless bollards are manufactured with steelsheet thickness always depending on the application, forexample, the anti-terrorism bollards are manufactured with22mm thickness.

Storm-water drainage is necessary

The external covers are usually manufactured in a roundshape, but they can be square, rectangular or in special sha-pes as requested by clients.

They are specially designed to sup-port a vehicle collision without deforming the bollardsystems.

All anti-terrorism bollards are manufactured in stainless steelAISI-316-L marine anticorrosive and plastified steel, in va-rious diameters of 324mm, 274mm, 220mm, diverse heightsof 700mm, 800mm, 1000mm, and 9mm, 12mm or 22mm inthickness.

As Presion y Fuerza is a manufacturer, its experts can adaptdesign dimensions of all bollards to the specific require-ments of the project, always to guarantee best solutions.

Bollards are submitted to crash impact tests in order to pro-vide perfect running, additionally put through durability stu-dies tests.

The application of Presion y Fuerza bollards is according torequirement demands of high security zones and/or antite-rrorism protection, such as in the cases of embassies, mi-nistries, banks, military services, police, high end stores,malls, commercial areas and a long etc…

The Department of Diplomatic Security of the U.S. Depart-ment of State has put to test Presion y Fuerzaʼs antiterro-rism bollards of level K12 (6,800 kg to 80 kph = 1,695,000J) vehicle impact resistance of the then specificationSD.STD-02.01 level K12, now replaced by the correspon-ding ASTM-F2656-07, and certification BSI-PAS68.

The switch cupboards of Presion y Fuerza are manufactu-red with the userʼs protection in mind, in case of any mis-take in the system (positive security) or protectinghigh-security areas, restricted zones and not permitting anypossible manipulation attempts by strangers, (negative se-curity).

POSITIVE SECURITY

In case of outage, a technical fault in a damaged compo-nent, cut in the inductive loops, a mistake in the inductiveloops or any malfunctioning of the system, the bollard wouldpop down allowing the access without any obstacles.This kind of security is included in all PNEUMATIC BO-LLARDS AND HYDRAULIC BOLLARDS.

NEGATIVE SECURITY

In case of outage, a technical fault in a damaged compo-nent, cut in the inductive loops, a mistake in the inductiveloops or any malfunctioning of the system, the bollard wouldautomatically block at popped up (in defence position) avoi-ding all vehicles access.This kind of security is included in all ELECTRIC BO-LLARDS. This safety measure is applied where total res-tricted access of vehicles to the site in an emergencysituation would be required.

VARIANTS

Regardless of the same, each bollard has a security inclu-ded; this measure can change depending on the specific re-quirements of each access. Therefore two versions exist:

1.To add a security negative supplement SSN-200 inthe case of Pneumatic Bollards or Hydraulic Bo-llards. Positive security SSP-201 supplement in thecase of Electric Bollards.

2.To add a supplementary mechanism SAI-300(System of interrupted feed) or UPS- 301 (Uninte-rruptible Power supply) through a battery providingenergy to every point of connection of the powersupply chain.

Four control loops to the best security

- A1 and A2, presence loops, detect a vehicle pre-sence and allow the use of magnetic cards and re-mote control.

- B1 and B2, security loops that avoid the pop-up ofthe bollards during vehicle presence.

Possibility of access in one direction (input or output). Thevehicle must be physically on the presence loop, its pre-sence drives the pop-down signal allowing passage throughthe security loops. Immediately after the passage of the ve-hicle, the bollard will rise automatically timed.

2. - ENTRANCE AND EXIT CONTROLLED (TWO WAY)

Possibility of access in both directions (entry/exit from thesame access). The vehicle must be physically on the pre-sence loop, which turns on the pop-down signal, continuing

physically over the security loops. Immediately after pas-sage of the vehicle, the bollard will rise, automatically timed.If the vehicle is physically on the presence loop from the exitdirection, it follows the same manoeuvre in the opposite di-rection.

3. - ENTRANCE CONTROLLED AND AUTOMATIC EXIT

Possibility of access in both directions (entry/exit at thesame access). The vehicle must be physically on the pre-sence loop, turning on the pop-down signal, and continueover the security loops. Immediately, the bollard will rise, au-tomatically timed. If the vehicle is on the presence loop fromthe exit direction, the bollard will pop-down automatically wi-thout having to switch on any signal.

Open System for Semiautomatic and Extractable Bollards

Automatic and extractable bollards use a security antivandalic key, only made by Pre-sion y Fuerza, that it avoids the possible manipulation or theft of bollards.

There are 2 security keys.

Star security key

The star security key allows the opening of the anchor latch of a semiautomatic or extracta-ble bollard.

In case of a semiautomatic bollard, it is necessary to turn the key and the bollard goes upby a gas actuator as elevation equipment. To go down the bollard you turn once again thekey, you press the bollard and the bollard be anchored by the key action.

In case of an extractable bollard, you turn the key and you take out the bollard from thebase because the anchor latch of the upper side will be free by the key.

The star security key allows as well the opening of the screws from the external plate of thebollard.

Star security bangle key

The star security bangle key allows the anchor latch opening of semiautomatic and extrac-table bollards and it avoids that users could take out the key leaving the bollard in lower po-sition, allowing the free access. In this case, the user must raise again the bollard in orderto retrieve the key.

Screws and key personalized

All screws and keys of Presion y Fuerza equipments are own made, they are manufacturedin stainless steel AISI-316-L anticorrosive marine and for height security antivandalic.

Security devices manufactured specifically to prevent colli-sions in exclusively pedestrian areas. These bollards havebeen designed and manufactured in order to obtain notableadvantages over other existing technologies for similar pur-poses of the sector.

A device is provided in order to raise bollards at zebra cros-sings, by using a temporary drive impulse that activateswhen traffic light turns red for vehicles in the marked and re-gulated crosswalks. 1. Application1.1 These standard terms of sale and delivery shall apply to extent that they are notwaived by written agreement by the parties concerned. Any terms specified by the pur-chaser which conflict with these standard terms of sale shall not be binding on PRESIONY FUERZA, S.L., even though PRESION FUERZA, S.L fails to make any complaintagainst them. No deviation from the terms shall apply without the explicit written consentof PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L.2. Ordering2.1 No final agreement concerning sale or delivery shall exist between PRESIONY FUERZA, S.L. and the costumer, until PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. has given its accep-tance as an order confirmation or other explicit written confirmation.2.3 Quotations, pro forma invoices and other associates correspondence shall notbe binding on PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. 2.4 No cancellation or alteration of orders is regarded as having been accepteduntil PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. has confirmed the fact in writing. In case of cancellationor alteration the purchaser shall reimburse PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. for all reasonablecosts incurred in connection with the cancellation or alteration of orders.3. Terms of delivery3.1 All deliveries by PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. shall be ex works (EXW Incoterms2000), and the purchaser shall bear all risks in case of loss, damage or delay during trans-port. In the absence of any agreement to the contrary, transport will be performed usingthe means PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. deems best without any liability for PRESION YFUERZA, S.L. Insurance will only be taken out in the event of a written request by thepurchaser.3.2 PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. undertakes to take appropriate measures to deliveron time. If a delay nevertheless occurs, entitle to cancel the order. A late delivery shall notentitle the purchaser to claim compensation.4. Tax and duty4.1 In addition to the purchase price, the purchaser shall pay any tax, duty or cus-toms duty for the purchased goods as well as any necessary expenses connected with theapproval of the purchased goods.5. Prices5.1 PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. reserves the right to change prices until a final orderconfirmation has been issued. PRESION Y FUERZA, .SL. also reserves the right tochange the prices of confirmed orders in case of change in production costssalaries/wages cost of material, sub-supplies, exchange rates, expenses imposed by pu-blic authorities, and the official discount rate (den officielle diskonto)6. Terms of payment6.1 Payment shall be made no later than at the time of delivery ex works, unlessotherwise specifically agreed in writing.6.2 If payment is delayed, PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. shall be entitled to claim a 2%interest on the purchase price pr month or part of a month, as well as to withhold all fu-ture consignments. If payment is delayed, PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. shall be entitled todemand that the purchaser pays all reasonable costs incurred in connection with legal ornon-legal steps taken with a view to collection payment.6.3 The purchaser shall not be entitled to withhold any payments in respect of alle-ged claims against PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. unless such claims have been acceptedin witting by PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. in advance.6.4 If the purchaser fails to take a delivery of consignments or part-consignmentswhich are ready for delivery on the agreed day, the purchaser shall make a payment any-way as if delivery had been effected, in the absence of any agreement to de contrary.7. Property rights7.1 Until PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. has received the full payment for products de-livered such products shall remain the property of PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. even thoughtthe purchaser has started to use or process the products, or started incorporating the pro-ducts in its own products.8. Intellectual property rights8.1 PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. reserves all rights to the product and their design.Products may not be copied, or given to any third parties with a view to copying the pro-ducts. All drawings and description sent to the purchaser shall remain the property of PRE-SION Y FUERZA, S.L. and may not be copied, transfered or shown to any third parties inany other way without the consent of PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L.8.2 If the provision in clause 8.1 is violated, the purchaser shall pay PRESION YFUERZA, S.L. the following:1. Compensation for any loss attributable to unlawful coping.2. All costs incurred in connection with the legal pursuit of PRESION Y FUERZA,S.L. rights.3. All costs incurred in connection with the non-legal pursuit of PRESION YFUERZA, S.L. rights.9. Technical changes and approval9.1 PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. reserves the right to make technical and other chan-ges in products, including ordered products without notice if it can be done without chan-ging the agreed technical specifications.9.2 PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. is not liable for absence or misinterpretation of in-formation in catalogues and other written material drawn up by PRESION Y FUERZA,S.L. 9.3 The purchaser shall be fully liable for the application, use and operation of anyPRESION Y FUERZA product, whether or not such application, use or operation has beenapproved by PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. 9.4 The purchaser undertakes to apply for all necessary national or internationalapprovals of any product in which PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. products are used.10. Complaints10.1 If the purchaser wishes to claim that the delivered products are defective, the

purchaser must complain immediately to PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L.10.2 The purchaser shall inspect consignments immediately on receipt to check forany shortages, defects, errors or any other deviations from the contract. If the purchaserwishes to complain to PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. the purchaser shall submit such com-plaints to PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. no later than 10 days after receipt of the products ifthe relevant defects could have been discovered during the purchaserʼs inspection on re-ceipt of the delivered products.10.3 Any damage or loss occurring during transport shall be of no concern to PRE-SION Y FUERZA, S.L. and claims in such circumstances may only be made against thetransport agent concerned.11. Rights in case of lack of conformity11.1 PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L liability for defective products is limited as follows: PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. is only obliged to perform either re-delivery or repair of thedefective product preferred by PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. and only if PRESION YFUERZA, S.L. has received the customerʼs written complaint within 12 months of the de-livery date.11.2 If defects are discovered in the design, materials or production of any PRE-SION Y FUERZA products the customer shall complain immediately in writing to PRE-SION Y FUERZA,S.L. and such allegedly defective product shall then be sent to PRESIONY FEURZA, S.L. or to an address stipulated by PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. with freight andinsurance paid by the sender, accompanied by a description of the reason for such return.If PRESIONY FUERZA accepts that the product is defective and the purchaser has com-plained in time, PRESIONY FUERZA, S.L. shall dispatch the product after replacement orrepair sending the defective product to PRESION Y FEURZA, S.L. shall reimburse thepurchaser for the freight costs incurred by the purchaser in sending the defective productto PRESION Y FEURZA, S.LʼS place of business, but only if PRESION Y FUERZA, S.Lhas approved in writing of the method of dispatch and the costs incurred prior to the dis-patch of products.11.3 The purchaser is responsible for the determining the suitability of PRESION YFUERZA products for specific application.11.4 PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. will not in any circumstances remove, replace orremount PRESION Y FUERZA, products. Redelivery or repair under the guarantee willunder no circumstances be performed outside PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. places of bu-siness.12. Product liability12.1 PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L shall be liable for product liability in accordancewith the relevant legislation in this connection, but does not assume liability in any degreebeyond that specified by the legislation. Any product liability not laid down by law but whichhas been developed in accordance with legal practise concerning compensation is thusexplicitly waived. In addition, PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. shall not be liable for operationlosses, loss of profits or other indirect losses caused by defective PRESION Y FUERZAproducts.12.2 The purchaser shall indemnify PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. to the extent thatPRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. is liable vis-à-vis third parties for any damage or loss for wichPRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. is liable vis-à-vis the purchaser in accordance with clause 12.1above.13. Force majeure13.1 The following circumstances result in exemption from liability if they preventperformance of agreement or make performance unreasonable onerous: labour disputesand any other circumstances beyond the control of the parties concerned, such as fire,war, mobilisation or military call-up of similar dimensions, requisition confiscation, currencyrestrictions, civil unrest or riots, the absence of transport, general shortages of goods, res-trictions in fuel, and defects or delays in deliveries from sub-suppliers due to any of the cir-cumstances mentioned in this clause.13.2 The circumstances mentioned shall only result in force majeure if their influenceof the performance of the agreement at the time of the formation of the agreement was notpossible to predict.13.3 The party wishing to claim any cause of force majeure as mentioned in clauseshall without delay inform the other party in writing about the beginning and end of suchcauses. In case of force majeure on the part of the purchase, the purchaser shall coverthe costs incurred by the seller in connection with securing and protecting the PRESIONY FUERZA, S.L. products concerned.14. Confidentiality14.1 The purchaser shall keep strictly secret and not disclose to any third party anyconfidential information received through doing business with PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L.15. Applicable law and venue for disputes15.1 Any disagreements or disputes between PRESION Y FUERZA, S.L. and thepurchaser shall be settled by Spanish law only.
