Process • In order to create this final set of images, I first created a layout of

guides in InDesign. After this, I created a box in order to measure the dimensions of the various boxes within InDesign. Once I had determined the sizes I then created documents with these dimensions in Adobe Photoshop. The next process was to find the images I was going to use (In this case, historical portraits) and resize them to the dimensions I needed them to be at. Once they were resized, I added a filter to them. In this case, the filter used throughout was Dark Strokes, although some of the images varied in balance levels, as well as the intensity of black and white within them. Once I had saved the images, both as a non-filtered version and a filtered version, I then put the filtered versions into InDesign.
