•Development aggression describes efforts tomodernize indigenous peoples' ways of life, usually through large-scale industrial projectson indigenous lands. Rather than improvingtheir lives, such projects often force peopleout of their homes and into remote areas withpoor soil, destroying traditions that havesustained them for centuries.
