IVF CUBE – Gas Port Adjustment Procedure
In order to change the gas port location, you will need to prepare following tools:
1. Adjusting plate (see picture 1 below)
2. Phillips screwdriver (Bar length should be about 40cm or longer)
Picture 1 – Adjusting plate
Adjusting plate is designed to fit completely to the heating stage of each drawer. Replace the
hand-held chamber to the plate when you need to adjust port position.
Port position changes by the production date, and rectangle piece with 3 drilled holes needs
to be adjusted according to the unit’s port position. For the units which serial number is 10 or
less, fix the rectangle piece to the plate using the middle 2 screw threads. For the units
which serial number is 11 or greater, fix the rectangle piece to the plate using the screw
thread on each side.
Serial Number: 1 to 10 Serial Number: 11 and greater
Gas ports are fixed with phillips head screws at each side. Before starting the adjustment,
loosen these screws a few revolutions counterclockwise and let the gas ports move up and
down smoothly. Do not loosen too much or remove these screws.
While the adjusting plate is placed on the drawer, slowly close the drawer until you can
compare the port position and drilled hole position difference.
Loosen these screws by 2 or 3 revolutions
counterclockwise.
Adjust the port position using the phillips screwdriver and when its position completely gets
into line, close the drawer all the way back to its close position and turn the drawer knob to
the horizontal position to keep it closed.
While the drawer is closed, tighten the 2 screws that hold gas port completely. After this
procedure try opening and closing the drawer several times without removing the adjusting
plate and confirm any port is not getting stuck at any of the drilled hole.
