Incident Report: On 4/29/13 at approximately 1600 hours, Officer Isaac Gray requested for a supervisor’s assistance. GSOC was also notified and they toned out a Emergency Response call to the Overland Structure for a vehicle collision. Units responding were Fire Marshall Ray Arias, Fire Marshall Sean Parris, Fire Marshall Paul Gutierrez, Lieutenant Michael Forrest and Sergeant Jose Gonzalez. They met with Mr. Daniel Craven, Media Services Technician, who was in front of the Visitor Center, on the 1st level of the structure, holding a bicycle. They also met with Mr. William Magill, Prop Maker for the Showtime Production of "Ray Donovan", and the following information was relayed:

Statement by Craven: "I was coming from the lower level parking spaces in the Overland Structure when I saw a vehicle heading down the ramp. I stopped to let the car pass but he made the stop at the stop sign and allowed the pedestrians to his right walk through. I was to his left side and began to cross as well but I stopped because I noticed that the car started moving and the driver had not noticed me passing by. I was still on my bike but when I saw that he was coming straight towards me I managed to jump off to prevent from getting hit. Once I jumped off, the car struck the bike running over it with its driver side tire. He dragged the bike for about 2 feet before stopping. He had to reverse in order to release the bike from under his tire." Statement by Magill: "As I was driving down the Overland parking structure I made a stop at the stop sign in front of the Visitor center. I saw pedestrians trying to cross from my right side so I waited for them to cross. After they crossed I began to drive forward towards the Overland gate when I suddenly hit a guy on a bicycle coming from my left side. I didn’t see him riding by until it was too late. As soon as I hit him I pushed the brakes. I then got off my car to see if the person was okay." Incident Investigation: Sgt. Gonzalez met with Mr. Phil Alley of Media Services, the victim’s supervisor, and he stated that the bicycle was property of Sony Pictures. The bicycle had a Sony Pictures asset tag but the number was scratched off. Mr. Alley took possession of the bicycle. The victim responded to Sony Medical, where he was treated for a contusion to his left calf and his right index finger. The bicycle was damaged on the front fender and the wire basket was damaged on the left side. The vehicle was damaged on the front of the hood, in the center, with scratches on it. It was also damaged on the left corner bumper with scratches, a dent and a rip. No other injuries were reported. No other vehicle damage was reported. Cause of injury/incident: ** N/A ** BBP Precautions - No cleanup necessary. ** The victim was not referred out.
