Treating Acne

Client: My skin type is dry and sensitive, but I'm struggling with hormonal acne. Help!Epionce Professional: Epionce formulas are active, but they are also gentle enough for sensitive skin. Let’s start with skin type first (dry, normal/combination, oily), and then focus on your skin concern. Your skin will feel cleansed and refreshed with Purifying Wash or Lytic Gel Cleanser without drying your skin out. Follow with Lite Lytic Tx and then apply Renewal Facial Lotion or Cream. You may want to bump up to Lytic Tx as your skin toler-ates. For spot-treating breakouts, try Purifying Spot Gel to quickly get rid of them.

Client: I have embarrassing acne breakouts on my back and chest. Does Epionce have anything to help?Epionce Professional: Yes! Epionce products work for both face and body. Use Purifying Wash in the shower on your back and chest, or anywhere else you notice blemishes. Avoid using a loofah that can harbor bacteria and exacerbate the problem by creating micro-tears in the skin. Client: My skin is oily and starting to break out, but I am afraid to use a moisturizer. What can I use?Epionce Professional: This is completely understandable to be hesitant to use a moisturizing product, because historically many moisturizers have been heavy and felt oily. However, for your skin to be healthy, it still needs to have the proper amount of hydration, and the skin barrier needs to be repaired. If the skin barrier is dam-aged and doesn’t have enough hydration, the skin will respond by overproducing oil. People then try to “dry out” the acne, but this causes your skin to overcompen-sate and then produce more sebum – leading to a neg-ative cycle. Client: I'm pregnant and my usual go-to acne prod-ucts can't be used during pregnancy. What do you suggestion I use?
