This is the funding stream that industry has been waiting for because you can plan for the next five years on solid ground because the criteria for the funding will not change. If you are in the UK, then all your staff have already qualified. All you need to do is let us know how you want to use the fund.

Simple to access – Easy to apply for – Hassle Free funding – for businesses in the UK

• Doesn’t matter whether you’re public or private sector - you qualify.

• A one man band or a Global Multi National - you qualify.

• How long you have worked in the UK (as long as you have been paid in the UK once) - you qualify.

• What qualifications your staff already have, it does not matter - you qualify.

Criteria is Simple

If your staff are paid as a UK employee then your business and your staff have already qualified. No application is needed all you need to do is get the course list and submit before the deadlines the names of your employees and the courses you want them to study. You register this before the enrolment deadline and that’s it your business and all your staff can access the funding for a full five year period from the date you enrolled and paid your 50%. You will get a letter of commitment stating this in writing a “five year written money back guarantee.”

This is our commitment to you - Your Guarantee Letter:

Will state your business and staff have qualified to access funding at enrolment dates to be advised across a five year period.

We guarantee that once you access funding; at the next funding date you can enrol as many of your staff as you see fit. Or we will reimburse every penny you have paid as your 50% contribution.

We will keep you informed of enrolment dates – these are the dates that you can enrol more students.

To use the fund fully, you should always access as much funding as you possibly can at each of the enrolment dates.

The next course deadline is 31st March 2017.

Introducing 505 Funding

If a business shows strong demand for their training requirements throughout 2017, the UK Business 505 Fund will become a guaranteed five year funding option for the company.

Only the courses in the brochure and the providers listed are funded by 505. This is so we can guarantee the best possible flexibility and quality of delivery for your business and staff. The 505 fund is trying to get the message across that with advances in technology and with the providers that have been chosen Distance Learning supported by Technology has massive advantages over other study methods.

• IoSCM - Manufacturing & Planning Levels 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6

• ILM - Leadership & Management Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5

• CMI - Chartered Management Levels 2, 3, 5 and 7

• CIPS - Purchasing Levels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6

• CIPD – Human Resources Level 3.

Commitment Goes One Way – From us to You Only

Once you have enrolled employees then the fund becomes available for the five year period at 50% of the cost with some exclusions (such as exam fees and memberships). Your commitment is only what you enrol for and to pay 50% in the future. You do not have to enrol any more employees on to courses in the future, but we will make an allowance for your organisation in case you require further support from the fund. Whether you use it or not is entirely up to you.

The Delivery Partner You Enrol With

The delivery partner you enrol with will process and support your employees as a normal set of students. Their full terms and conditions apply to your organisation and you pay them your 50% directly. Once you have paid and are in line with their terms and conditions, your students will be allocated full access to all study resources.

No Liability on Your Part

Both 505 Approved Training providers claim the funding directly, so again no hassle for you and in the unlikely event of a problem then it is their responsibility to resolve. There will be no forms to fill in and no difficulty for your company.

What Does the 505 Fund Cover? Why The Fund Was Set Up

The fund was formed to promote and develop greater understanding of the quality and benefits of Distance Learning studies for businesses. Traditionally, attitudes to study are a little dated and this fund intends to show businesses and individuals that they can have a high quality learning experience that delivers real benefits for the individuals and for the business.

High quality distance learning is supported with online systems and a high end human support package, delivered by organisations that have made themselves leading experts in this field. Your staff can have a high quality experience which, in turn, will have a positive impact on your company.

All courses allow individuals pass qualifications taking into account their own personality traits and learning styles.

You can also plan and drive people forward in your business by putting together a five year plan that starts them at a level 2 and pushes them through a further 3 or 4 levels, so there is a sense of progression. This drives forward their knowledge understanding and increasing their performance within your business.

The Natural Benefits from High Quality Distance Learning

Exclusions

Examination fees and memberships that go directly to the relevant Institutes are not covered by the funding. Because we cannot control pricing with the Institutes the risk was too great in terms of providing 5 years of stability. However, some of the courses have no exam or membership fees anyway. All other terms and conditions from the partners apply in full.

A lot of companies pay these fees, but they are only due at the relevant time and are not due immediately. In a lot of cases, you pay them straight to the institute and not to the 505 partner.

Some companies have paid the 50% to gain the funding and left it to employees to pay memberships and fees.

Many options are available.

Supporting the Fund

An expectation from 505 of you as the business is that you will help us in every way that you can to promote the fund to employees to other stakeholders in your business. Maybe you can make referrals to your suppliers, customers or other organisations that you are associated with.

This is all we ask so that we can keep marketing costs to a minimum and provide the vast majority of the funding to help UK businesses and employees.
